TREND ALERT HALF TIE DYE =

Tie-dye is an ancient art form that dates back many centuries, and yet it continues to evolve and inspire us today.
The earliest examples are pre-Columbian textiles, found in Peru, which date from 500 to 810 AD. Skip ahead to the Japanese and Indonesian art of Shibori practiced since the 8th century, and you find another example of this ancient style of tieing fabric into knots to cause it to resist taking on the dye in specific places to create intricate patterns. The practice of creating unique and elaborate details in fabric through the use of knots and color continues to metamorphose, and Cherith Brook Designs is exceptionally proud to present the latest evolution - the half tie-dye design!
