Through active citizenship, we embrace social responsibility and work towards goals that benefit communities worldwide. JCI members embrace new ideas, collaboration and diversity. Guided by the vision and initiative to transform their lives and the world, JCI members have the courage to address the great challenges of our time.

A Framework of Results The JCI Active Citizen Framework provides a methodology for running sustainable, needs-based projects that create measurable results in communities. The process starts with assessing community needs in health and wellness, education and economic empowerment, and sustainability. By engaging partners and evaluating results, JCI members ensure their projects deliver effective positive change.

JCI Around the World With around 5,000 JCI Local Organizations in more than 100 JCI National Organizations, JCI forms a vibrant global community of nearly 200,000 active citizens. All members belong to a JCI Local Organization where they focus on finding solutions to problems in their local community. Local Organizations are affiliated to National Organizations. This structure forms a global grassroots movement, empowering members to run international projects, exchange ideas and work together to develop new ways to create positive change in their communities.

JCI Mission To provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change.

JCI Vision To be the leading global network of young active citizens.

JCI Values That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life; That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations; That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise; That government should be of laws rather than of men; That earth's great treasure lies in human personality; And that service to humanity is the best work of life.

Four Areas of Opportunities in JCI Individual Opportunities: Opportunities for personal development are offered in the individual development area. Through various training programs, members develop various skills such as goal setting; time management, effective communication skills, public speaking, protocol & etc thereby equip them with the necessary techniques to become future leaders of the community. Community Opportunities: This real of opportunity gives the member a chance to work with and for his community. Through various community development programs, members identify social needs & issues and thus develop projects to improve the well being of the community. Awareness & sensitivity towards social issues are thus enhanced. International Opportunities: The opportunities available in the international area are very interesting. Via this area, members are exposed to different customs & culture around the globe and thus internationally create a better understanding. JCI Trainer (JCI Mines IPP) presented her chapter management skills. Training session included creative name-card and JCI name-card design, simple meeting prosedure, introduction of GMM planning. Efficiency is one of the keys to advancement. It is important that, whatever task you have, you understand what you have to do, you participate fully with other members and you do your part to the best of your ability. Do not be afraid to ask if you do not understand. Do not hesitate to seek help if you feel this is necessary. There is no position in JCI that is more important than any other, and each member is one link in the human chain of achievement. The organization needs the floor member who does what he or she has to do conscientiously.

FEBRUARY 2012 JCIM Area Peninsular Central South CNY GMM Date: 04-02-2012 (Wed) Venue: FullHouse, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, Kuala Lumpur. Description: - Friendship and Chinese New Year Lou-Sang - JCIM Area Peninsular Central South Members Gathering

Come for Lou-Sang .. .

Yee sang or Lou-Sang (Chinese: 鱼生; pinyin: yúshēng), or Prosperity Toss, is a Teochew-style raw fish salad. It usually consists of strips of raw fish (most commonly salmon), mixed with shredded vegetables and a variety of sauces and condiments, among other ingredients. Yusheng literally means "raw fish" but since "fish (鱼)" is commonly conflated with its homophone "abundance (余)", Yúshēng (鱼生) is interpreted as a homophone for Yúshēng (余升) meaning an increase in abundance. Therefore, yusheng is considered a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigor.
