No lamps, no worries - projectiondesign® ships new FL32 RealLED™ DLP® projector Fredrikstad, Norway, 11 January 2010 –As part of the most innovative line-up of products the company has ever showcased at Integrated Systems Europe, Norway’s projectiondesign will be giving a European preview of the highest-resolution projector it has ever made, alongside its first-ever image processing module. These will be complemented by a full line-up of projectors for a wide range of professional applications, while hourly training sessions will underpin the variety of superb images with a serious educational message. Well known throughout the industry for introducing technology firsts, projectiondesign will announce at ISE a new product that is set to change the way in which projection technology is viewed, accepted and used.

FL32 ReaLED™ illumination-based DLP® projector

European preview of the world’s first F35 WQXGA resolution projector Pride of place on the projectiondesign booth will be the new F35 wqxga, the first projector anywhere in the world to feature Texas Instruments’ WQXGA DLP® chip. This offers a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels - that’s 78% more pixels than WUXGA. The result is a display of incredibly high pixel density that requires fewer projectors to produce ultra-realistic images with a sharpness and clarity unmatched by competing solutions. First previewed at I/ITSEC in Orlando, Florida in late 2009 to great acclaim, the F35 has already received popular interest in the simulation, training, and visualization markets, where its ultra-high resolution imaging will increase efficiencies, reduce installation complexities, and provide a high return on investment for end users. State-of-the-art image blending and geometry correction from Multi-image processing system Also at a European tradeshow for the first time is the MIPS WB2560 – projectiondesign’s first multi-image processor. Capable of providing geometry correction on a per-pixel basis for perfect image performance, the MIPS WB2560 is infinitely scalable, allowing any number of channels to be combined to a single image, without limitations. The MIPS processing engine is totally transparent to the image generator, and operates at near zero latency making it ideal for applications from simple video walls to high performance simulation applications up accommodating geometry correction up to WXQXGA resolution on each channel. No lamps and no worries with the FL32 ReaLED™ projector Also featured on the projectiondesign booth, will be the FL32 projector, which uses ReaLED™ technology combining long-life LED illumination with patented projectiondesign optics for up to an estimated 100,000 hours of low-maintenance, worry-free operation. Available in a choice of 1080p or WUXGA resolution, the FL32 is being shown at an ISE show for the first time.

3D display for advanced visualization projectiondesign will show all of its products in configurations that reflect real-world applications. Among these will be active and passive 3D solutions, the former featuring the company’s unique small-footprint F10 AS3D active stereo projector, the latter using projectiondesign projectors configured with internal INFITEC filters for passive 3D stereoscopic applications. projectiondesign educates at ISE 2010 With such a wide range of projection options now available to Europe’s systems integration community, the company is reinforcing its education efforts with hourly presentations on the booth, supported by two ISE education sessions led by David Aleksandersen, both of which quality participants for InfoComm CTS credits. The first session, on at 10:00 on Wednesday, 3 February, examines the calibration and colour matching of displays, while the second, at 12:00 the same day, will provide an overview of 3D stereoscopic projection. More information can be found at http://www.iseurope.org/kcms/home.php?navi=35. Summarising projectiondesign’s activity at ISE 2010, Anders Løkke, International Marketing & Communications Manager, says: “The sheer quantity and diversity of ISE attendees obliges us to show as wide a range of projection solutions as possible, and in this respect, we are delighted to be raising the bar once again in Amsterdam next February. From ultra-high resolution projection to infinitely scalable image blending and processing as well as another new product that’s set to change how the industry sees projection, there are literally no limits to what ISE attendees can expect from us this year!” ENDS DLP is a registered trademark of Texas Instruments
