Photo Contest “I participate” In terms of balkanaction/2015 national online campaign, Beyond Barriers Association is launching the Online Photo Contest “I-Participate”. The Balkan action/2015 is a part of the action/2015 movement that gathers more than 1900 organisations from 145 countries, and it is an independent and civil society initiated campaign for raising awareness in the Balkans on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) which are to be adopted this September on the United Nations General Assembly. Balkan action/2015 will result in a mass mobilization of the citizens and civil society organizations which would otherwise stay at the margins of information and participation opportunities. As such, this opportunity represents a unique space to make the SDGs and the post-2015 agenda relevant for the local and national contexts and issues in the region. In addition, it will help building the ownership over the SDGs, and it has a potential to build the capacities of the broad public to engage in the SDGs’ implementation, but also monitoring and accountability initiatives.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? If you are a young person living in Albania, aged 16-35 years old, You are active in the community and participate in civic engagement activities for change If you like photography as an amateur, (not for professional photographers*) And you would like to show your participation snapped in a picture YOU are the one we are looking for! RULES of PARTICIPATION 1. Photographs must have been taken within two (2) years before the date of entry and may not previously have won an award. 2. The photograph, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material taken by the Contest entrant. By entering the Contest, entrant represents, acknowledges, and warrants that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.
3. Picture should be in JPEG format with dimensions 2480 x 3508 pixels. 4. Accompanied with a caption that share a message of your act of participation expressed in the picture and where was the photo taken (Place, event, activity, and year). 5. Send your photo with: your Name/Surname, Age, Address, Mobile number, Email address.

The contest is open from 16.07.2015 until the 31.07.2015. Send your photos by mail at info@beyondbarriers.org SELECTION AND PRICES A selection jury from Beyond Barriers Association with evaluate and select 15 best photos based on the themes, messages they address and Likes they shall receive on our Facebook Group. ONLY the 15 best Photos selected will be contacted and results will be announced to entrants on 3 August 2015 by mail and through our Facebook group. The 15 Selected entrants of the contest will be invited to participate in International Day of Youth, 12 August 2015 at 10:00 in Tirana Youth Centre. The participants of this event together with the Selection Jury of BBA, will vote to select the 3 winners, 1st place , 2nd place and 3rd place.
EACH of the 3 winners will receive their price during the year 2015, which consists in the participation free of charge in an international event, supported by Beyond Barriers Association.
