Inaugural Year: 1987 Mascot: Champ New Sports for 2012: cycling - gravel grinder, pickleball, rugby and whitewater slalom Athlete Jamboree and Opening Ceremony: *This event is FREE and open to all athletes and the public Iowa Food & Family Project Fields of Champions The first 2,200 people will receive a FREE meal. The meal will start at 5:30 p.m. We encourage everyone who receives a FREE meal to ‘pay it forward’ with a donation to the Iowa Food Bank Association. The Iowa Food Bank Association will be at the event with ‘free will donation’ buckets. Did you know that for every $1 donated, the Iowa Food Bank Association can buy $15 of food! Last year we had over $2,000 donated! Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team - After they were rained out last year the boys from Chicago are back for 2012. The Chicago Boyz is a high energy acrobatic entertainment group that will feature trampolines, tumbling and jump rope stunts. Team Extreme Trials Show - Team X Trials, featuring Tommi Ahvala, is a unique show which is often described as gymnastics on two wheels.
