Fall Forum Focused education you need The 2013 Fall Forum will take place in conjunction with NFDA’s International Convention and Expo in Austin, Texas, home of OGR. The Fall Forum provides members with education focused on the independent funeral home, and allows members to take advantage of the NFDA expo in one costeffective trip! Regional Meetings Meetings at the local level Regional meetings are hosted by OGR members and provide an opportunity for members to come together on the local level at a low cost. These meetings may be as informal as an ideas exchange or funeral home tour, but all provide a time and place for members to share best practices and camaraderie. Contact the education department to schedule a meeting in your region. Audio Seminars Keeping your staff current OGR’s audio seminars are a convenient and cost-effective way to keep up on funeral service trends and conduct staff development. These 60-minute programs are suitable for owners, managers and staff. One registration fee allows an unlimited number of your staff to participate at each location. All attendees are eligible for one continuing education credit, in states where approved. Visit the calendar of events on the Website for the current topics and schedule. Invitationals Member-hosted special interest events Invitationals allow members to share personal interests at small group outings. Member-hosted invitationals have ranged from pheasant hunts to auto racing to fly fishing. Contact the education department if you are interested in hosting an invitational.
