2021 Inglis Yearling Sales Series

Page 1

Dear Valued Client, I want to start by thanking, on behalf of everyone at Inglis, all who have participated in our respective sales through 2020 to date. Circumstances have been hugely challenging through the year with an extended period of drought and ensuing bushfires prefacing the COVID-19 pandemic. In spite of this, we are extremely grateful for the fact that all participants, in particular vendors and their respective staff, have remained professional and determined throughout. The team at Inglis has endeavoured to provide the highest standards of service throughout the past 12 months, taking on board feedback as to what you, our clientele, think we can do better in order to help you to achieve the best results. I think there is every reason for us to be proud of the fact we have worked with you and our extensive range of buyers from around the world to achieve sales in excess of $276m since August 1st 2019. Quality service is a fundamental focus for the team at Inglis. We recognise the extraordinary effort and investment made by breeders, traders, and consignors in preparation for the annual rounds of yearling sales and our primary aim is to work for and with you to help you to achieve the optimum results in the sale of your stock. It is something we are very passionate about and I hope it is evident to you and your clients in the work we do as a team throughout the year. We are very pleased to have achieved growth in key metrics across many of our yearling sales in 2020. Under the most difficult conditions, the Easter Yearling Sale performed extraordinarily well and it remains the premium market for the sale of quality yearlings. It’s not known as ‘the best of the best’ just because it features the best yearlings, but also because it attracts the biggest buyers which in turn results in the best prices for you. Rest assured we have every base covered in terms of developing the strongest representation of buyers for each of our sales in 2021. Our canvassing of buyers is a comprehensive, year-round exercise. We have a commitment to servicing our existing buyers and developing new ones that borders on an obsession. We are constantly striving to improve and I can guarantee no team is working harder for you than we are. Very simply, buyers like shopping at our sales, because Inglis is where they find more good horses than anywhere else. Inglis sales have produced 48 individual G1 winners since 2018, 85% more than the next best Australian auction house. Our sales are scheduled to work best for you, and importantly, for the horses. It’s a smooth, measured cycle, which sees the horses end up in the best hands and consequentially maximises their chances of achieving success on the racecourse. As we have said time and time again, and will continue to do so, ‘Buy Success. Buy Inglis.’ I invite you to get in touch with me or a member of our team to begin the process of identifying the appropriate sales placements for your stock. We look forward to working with you. Finally it seems most appropriate at this time to wish you and all of those closest to you continued success and, most importantly, ongoing good health and safety. Kindest regards,
