Don Bosco Quiz

Compiled by Fr. Bosco, sdb Don Bosco Provincial House Dimapur - Nagaland

To Salesian Cooperators, Don Bosco Alumni, Parents, Benefactors and all Bosconians

INTRODUCTION “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step said the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu in 5th century BC. Don Bosco is the only saint in the Church, about whom much has been written. To understand Don Bosco one must undertake the journey of reading the 19 Biographical Memoirs of Don Bosco. It is indeed a herculean task for one to go through the exercise of reading all 19 volumes. As the Salesian Congregation celebrates the bicentenary of his birth, it is our dream to make all our students in our schools and colleges know more about Don Bosco, so that they can love and imitate him. Don Bosco Quiz (DBQ) is a realization of this dream. This simple compendium of knowledge known as DBQ is a collection of 1000 questions and answers on Don Bosco and his works. A lot of effort has been made to give accurate and correct answers to the questions on Don Bosco and Salesian Family. I wish to express my sentiments of gratitude to Fr. Nestor Guria, the provincial for his continuous encouragement and the confreres of the provincial house for their constant support. I cannot forget Fr. Kerketta Jonas, Fr. Nebu Mathew, Fr. Sebastian Jose and Fr. CD Mathai for their meticulous proof reading and corrections. Without their help this book would not become a reality.
