PRESS RELEASE TACCHELLA News - EMO IMT TACCHELLA ELEKTRA 1200 UA-Plus line of standard universal grinding machines is enriched with new machine configurations that represent a further increase in usage flexibility, adding new application fields. One of the new configuration foresees 1 external wheel on the left side, and 2 units with electro-spindles for internal grinding (execution L/I/I-B), for typical operations of straight grinding and internal grinding operations in sequence. On the machine can be mounted spindles for internal grinding of holes to a depth of 320 mm The other one new configuration allows to mount up to 4 external wheels (execution LR/LR-B) on two motor-spindles (this configuration will be showed on EMO 2015). Each configuration foresees the use of external wheels with diameter up to 508mm. Moreover, the automatic swivelling of the CNC-controlled B-axis allows the combination of different grinding cycles in a single set-up, reducing the retooling time to quite zero: external and internal grinding, together with grinding of diameters, shoulders, threads, polygons, eccentrics and cams. The Universal grinding machine ELEKTRA is available in three sizes distance between centres 700-12001700 mm News are also in operative surface of the Tool Operator Package software. IMT Tacchella has presented important innovations concerning the machine software, as completion of the new machine configurations described above. New software modules specifically studied for grinding operations based on the interpolation within the "C"-axis and the main working axes “X” and “Z”: Easy Thread for threads grinding, Easy Polygon for polygons, Easy Eccentric for eccentrics, Easy Cam for cams and Easy Custom Profile for grinding of specific profiles on customer’s demand. These new modules, perfectly integrated within T.O.P.- IMT’s platform (Tacchella’s patent), allow the operator to work on the Elektra always in a safe, simple, intuitive and easy way.
Thanks to these softwares, the extraordinary money saving on the working process has no equal compared to standard technologies used today.
