LETTER FROM THE

We have so many reasons to celebrate our school community. Throughout this past school year, students demonstrated their faith, resilience and Mustang spirit. Their academic, athletic and artistic accomplishments were recognized. We continue to be the top rated Connecticut Catholic co-ed day school and students continue to outperform the diocessan high schools on their SAT scores.

As you read through the pages of this edition of Traditions, know that you have been instrumental in making Immaculate so much more than a high school. We are a community where students are supported and encouraged to develop their God-given talents and gifts so that they can reach their full potential. Their exemplary accomplishments are the result of appreciating and participating in the many opportunities that are available to them, thanks to you believing in them and in our school mission.

The legacy of Immaculate and our planning for its future will be celebrated during our upcoming 60th anniversary school year. I hope to see you at our many scheduled anniversary events and personally thank everyone - our parents, our faculty, our staff, our alumni and an amazing Board of Directors - for making this past year a positive experience for our school community. We remain Immaculate strong.

May God’s blessings be with you and your families, Mary R. Maloney President

FOUNDATIONS IN EDUCATION

TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH EDUCATION

in Education, a donor supported granting organization which funds “ transformative initiatives that benefit multiple grade levels and have a long-term impact on student learning” awarded two Immaculate teachers, Anthony D’Ausilio and Anthony Pellegrini a total of $13,500.00 in grants.

Foundations

A More Sophisticated Data Collection and Analysis System

AP Physics and computer science teacher Anthony D’Ausilio received $11,000 for his proposal “Integrate Real World Data Collection and Analysis into Physics Labs.” With his grant, the science department will upgrade lab equipment with Bluetoothbased sensors so that measurements from student labs will be automatically collected and imported into Excel spreadsheets which will enable students to perform college level analyses on the data.

“These upgrades will create an experience that mirrors what would happen in a college classroom and foster more independent thinking on the part of the students,” explained Mr. D’Ausilio.

mini, cardioid condenser microphone and audio interface package to support a new fine arts course, Podcast 101.

Students taking Podcast 101 will learn how to use the studio hardware and software needed to record and create a professional podcast. Also covered will be the various forms of podcasts, properly researching and preparing content and effective rhetorical style. The goal of the program will be posting the student produced podcasts on streaming services such as Apple or Spotify, being heard by people around the world.

“In this class, students will learn everything they need to produce professional quality podcasts,” said Mr. Pellegrini.

New Dean of Counseling and Student Affairs

Tim Nash has joined the Immaculate administrator team as its new Dean of Counseling and Student Affairs.

After 20 years of experience in multiple college admissions programs including Sacred Heart University, Salve Regina University and Manhattan College, Tim joined the St. Joseph High School administration team as their Director of College and School Counseling. Tim’s high school counseling leadership experience includes the development, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of student programs and services, including, but not limited to funded programs and specialized services for students with identified academic challenges and/or with physical needs.

Tim will be responsible for the oversight of all school counseling and therapeutic services offered to students. He will focus on the school’s Advisory, social awareness and student emotional learning (SEL) support programs. And, in collaboration with the Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Assessments, Tim will manage the SAT, PSAT and ACT standardized testing for both general education students and students with accommodations. He is committed to ensuring the

efficacy of our counseling department’s communication and services to provide each student the opportunity to thrive personally, spiritually and academically by developing and maintaining positive relationships, becoming a lifelong learner and contributing to a compassionate world.

KEY CLUB

The IHS Key Club donated 65 boxes stuffed with gifts to Samaritan’s Purse in November. Gifts varied from stuffed animals, dolls, soccer balls, harmonicas, and coloring books to essential items like toothbrushes, bandaids, and combs. The students were also able to donate $450 dollars to the charity, which helps to cover the costs of shipping the shoeboxes.

CNA STUDENTS SPREAD CHRISTMAS CHEER

NO-SEW

Students and staff of IHS donated at the American Red Cross Blood Drive sponsored by the Student Council. A total of 26 pints of blood, which can be used to save up to 78 lives, was collected.

The Advance Health Care and Biosciences class worked with Pope John Paul II Nursing Home to achieve their certified nursing assistant clinical hours. During the Christmas season the students collected money and made gift bags for the residents which included Christmas socks, lip balm, lotion, soaps, scented spray, and Christmas candy. Terence Timan ’85, Danbury’s Fire Marshal worked closely with the students to help deliver the gifts.

Seniors in Mrs. Donnarummo’s Catholic Social Teaching course made “no-sew blankets” to donate to the local “Binky Patrol” chapter which supports children in area hospitals. Great job all!

Ashley Nicoletti, Caroline Merritt, Nicole Cianflone, Alivia Garcia, Sadie Mellen, Carolyn Jandura, Alexis Walsh, Courtney-rae McCormack, and Ava Amatulli and CNA Instructor Marie Hatcher Campus Ministry and Key Club collected 789 individual serving boxes of cereal donated to the Catholic Charities Danbury Morning Glory Program and to Jericho Partnership.

Student Olivia McDonough ‘25 whose family is from Ukraine also organized help for their country. In an interview with the News-Times, Olivia said, “Just to know that I’m Ukrainian and how proud I am, how proud my family is, it really just puts a smile on my face.”

SUPPORTING UKRAINE

Students collected funds by hosting a yellow and blue dress down day and Olivia sold cookies. The $7,040 funds raised were sent to the Diocese of Mukachevo to feed those people who were on the border waiting to leave the country and those who waited in the diocesan churches and rectories for their fathers and husbands to return.

PRAYERS FOR UKRAINE

As part of our effort to support those suffering in Ukraine, students and staff met daily in the chapel at 7:10 am to pray the rosary with Deacon Jeff Font. In addition, the Religion Department and International Club created a bulletin board to illustrate our overflowing prayers of peace for the people of Ukraine.

GIVING FROM THE HEART

We welcomed Father Ihor, a priest from the Byzantine Catholic Diocese of Mukachevo, to speak with our students. Father Ihor has been in the United States for six years and currently serves at St. Nicholas Church in White Plains, New York. Born and raised in Ukraine, his family still resides in the western part of Ukraine in Zakarpattia.

Pat Buckley

Longbefore Pat Buckley joined the faculty at Immaculate High School, she attended a meeting at the school and remembers forming a very positive impression. A decade later, with a master’s degree in counseling, Pat secured an interview for a guidance counselor position. When she arrived at the school, she looked up and saw a mustang on the banner. A long time equestrian and owner of a mustang, she felt the banner presaged a positive outcome to the interview. She joined the guidance department in the fall of 2002.

While a guidance counselor, Pat taught a theology class. Eventually she moved into the theology department when a full-time teacher was needed. Her husband, Dan, joined the faculty in 2005. Their three children are alumni – Katie ‘08, Gavin ‘10 and Aiden ‘13.

Pat was faculty advisor of National Honor Society for three years and of student council for several years as well. She advised campus ministry on her own until Fr. Jeff Couture was assigned as chaplain and then worked with him. She planned and ran faculty retreats. One of her favorite experiences at Immaculate was working with Alexa Wild, the drama club and campus ministry to prepare and lead the student body in the silhouette/shadow style Stations of the Cross. It was a very beautiful and reverent service which spoke to students and faculty alike.

Pat always considered God her ultimate supervisor and conducted her classes and interactions with students and colleagues in that light. Her message to them is, “No matter what you think got you here to Immaculate, God has you in the palm of His hand. As part

of His plan for you, He brought you here and chose your classmates, teachers, and colleagues. Take a risk and be open to growth and learning opportunities. He has arranged it for your good.”

A year or so ago God sent Pat an opportunity. She saw a notice at the post office that asked, “Like to ride but don’t have a horse? Come ride mine.” She answered the notice and has been riding three to four times every week with the owner. As she approached twenty years of teaching at Immaculate, she began to feel that it was time to continue her life journey with a new chapter and retire from her teaching to ride horses with a plan to eventually return to professional counseling.

She has loved being part of the Immaculate family, seeing the students develop in all aspects of life. “I hope the students recognize that everyone around them is in the process of becoming amazing people. They have no idea yet who they will become.”

“Takeariskandbeopen togrowthandlearning opportunities. Hehas arrangeditforyourgood.”

Joe DeMaida dean of students

JoeDeMaida began his service as our Dean of Student Affairs seven years ago. His prior experience had been at St. Rose of Lima School where he taught middle school social studies and led a St. Rose Church teen service ministry for over a decade.

As the Dean of Student Affairs, Joe made it his mission to know each student by name and build relationships beyond the conventional disciplinary role. He found that lunchtime was a unique time during the day when he could have casual, extended conversations with the students, getting to know their interests and activities both at Immaculate and outside of school. Soon students learned that he had their best interest at heart and they would talk with him about “anything and everything.” He attended their games, shows, competitions and award ceremonies, whether they were school sponsored or otherwise. He became someone they could come to with problems and ideas knowing he would be able to provide a

Building trust with the students and earning their respect enabled him to be an effective disciplinarian when he needed to be, but he says it was the most challenging part of the job to watch a young person whom he had gotten to know make a poor decision and then to apply consequences.

Joe also coached girls golf for six years and his players are giving him a great send off - this year they finished their regular season as undefeated Patriot Division champions, and were the runners up at the South West Conference championships.

In retirement, Joe and his wife, Patti, will be spending time in Maine. He plans on continuing being active with youth programs, possibly in a parish setting.

Artson the Road

To share arts experiences is essential to well rounded community life. Immaculate arts have “taken their show on the road” as a means to build relationships with and serve our community as well as showcase the talents of our students and the scope of the fine arts program at Immaculate.

Music In Service and Celebration

Alumnus Thomas Saadi ‘88, Commissioner of the CT Department of Veterans Affairs, the Danbury Council of Veterans and Jennifer Doherty, IHS choral teacher joined together to honor the service of local veterans. In October, the Immaculate chorus was invited to sing the national anthem at the dedication ceremony for a monument at the Danbury War Memorial commemorating the service of U.S. veterans in Beirut/Lebanon. For Veterans Day, our chorus was again invited to sing at events held at the War Memorial.

The “Spirit of Immaculate Christmas” tour brought the chorus and the band to numerous elementary schools including St. Gregory the Great, Holy Trinity Catholic Academy, St. Catherine’s in Fairfield and St. Peter as well as the Elmwood Hall Senior Center to share Christmas carols and songs, spreading the joy of the season.

The public was invited to the annual Immaculate’s Got Talent show, the spring musical Seussical, and the Christmas concert and tree lighting. Through these performances our students get experience preparing and sharing musical material and seeing how their work uplifts their audiences, which in turn lifts the students up too.

Visual Arts Shared With the Community

With funds from a Foundations in Education grant, art teacher Leslie Quinn purchased portable kiosks and fixtures that enable her to host pop up art shows highlighting paintings, drawings, linoleum prints, watercolors, collages, ceramics, and digital art by students at Immaculate. This year three shows were scheduled. The first was held at St. Rose School in Newtown in March which highlighted the many arts opportunities available at Immaculate. The bright colors and interesting content of infographics done by graphic arts students were especially pleasing to the elementary students. In April a show featuring a commemorative stamp project, a social awareness project and independent work done by seniors was displayed at the C.H. Booth Library in Newtown. Patrons and staff alike were impressed with the quality and level of the works displayed. A third show at Danbury Hospital had to be canceled due to Covid concerns.

For Immaculate students these mini art shows create excitement in the classroom and a desire to be exhibited. “When art is live or on social media, the feedback our students receive is gratifying and increases creativity and self esteem. It is so exciting to curate all the ideas that flow from these talented artists.” - Leslie Quinn

“These students work hard to learn different techniques in both the art room and graphics room. We want to shine a light on all the good things happening in the fine arts department at Immaculate High School. ” - Samantha Kohler

The fine arts program already has plans in the works for more off campus shows next year.

Immaculate students whose art pieces were recognized in the 2022 are:

Julong Williams ‘22 was awarded a gold key for her work Dolphin Plane in the digital art category.

Scholastic CT Regional Writing Awards Recipients

Annually, over 1,500 students from across Connecticut submit entries vividly demonstrating their passion for the craft of writing. From this large pool of poetry, essays, stories, and drama, submissions in Poetry and Prose are awarded to be published or honored at each grade level. Immaculate awardees are:

Caitlin Doherty ‘22 received awards for works submitted in four writing categories. 17

After a two-year hiatus, we returned to live theater for the IHS spring musical, Seussical - so exciting for both the audience and the performers. Having an audience is extremely important to the actors and while last year’s filmmaking experience was awesome, the actors truly missed the presence of the audience.

Opening night was a magical moment for the actors who felt a new sense of energy as they experienced the applause, laughter and cheers from the audience who had lively reactions to the ins and outs of the plot, the jokes and the fate of the characters.

The choice of Seussical as this year’s show was ideal for the local community who appreciated its wholesome, uplifting fun. Experienced director Sabrina Post and her choreographer Lisa Menilli were quite familiar with the show, having directed it with other performing groups. Their talents coupled with choral teacher Jen Doherty, resulted in a production that was filled with high energy, was family friendly and offered a simple yet important message about taking care of each other and honoring one’s commitments.

For the first time, we staged the show at an off-campus venue, Newtown’s Edmond Town Hall. This brought conveniences of not

having to build the stage or rent the light and sound equipment but also presented some challenges as we did not have access to the theater until two days before opening night. The cast, stage and technical crews, and the orchestra had only two days to become comfortable working together on an unfamiliar stage.

This year’s cast was small with a high percentage of freshmen and students new to theater. The group quickly formed strong bonds, and the new students remarked on how nice it was that even though they were freshmen the upperclassmen took them under their wing and helped them. They had a group meal together at Edmond Town Hall on the very long day plus evening of rehearsal. It was clear they had become a family. The show reflected their unity and invited the audience to share in the joy of being together.

SCHOLAR ATHLETES

We had three relays competing at the National Championships. Girls Track competed in Philadelphia at the New Balance Nationals in two events--the distance medley relay (DMR) and the 4x800. Lauren Manning ‘22, Keelin Bremner ‘23, Kayla Ondy ‘22, and Isabel Taiman ‘23 finished 3rd in the Rising Stars Division of the DMR. Earning a medal at nationals is no small achievement and their great race was a testament to their hard work throughout the season. Lauren Manning ‘22, Nicole Merritt ‘25, Keelin Bremner ‘23, and Caitlyn Mascetta ‘24 were competitive in a national caliber field for the 4x800 event.

Boys Track capped off their season by sending an 800m sprint medley relay (SMR) team to the Nation Scholastic Athletics Foundation Nike Nationals in Eugene, Oregon. Nick Paris ‘24, Chad Doto ‘23, Walter Brady ‘22 and Thai Sapenter ‘22 fought off some serious jet lag (due to flight delays) and put forth a solid effort to place 3rd in the Championship Division of the 800m sprint medley relay. Their effort paid off as their 3rd place finish earned them NSAF Nike All American honors. They are the first Immaculate Boys Relay team to earn such a prestigious honor.

Lauren Manning ‘22 came in first in the 600m race at the Indoor Track South West Conference Championships and also was the State Champion in the 600m.

Walter Brady ‘22 in his first indoor race ever, not only placed 4th out of 99 runners but also broke the school record in the indoor 400m with a time of 53.17!

Thai Sapenter ‘22 won the Track & Field State Championship in the 400m.

Team captains, Carie (Pluff) Koehler ‘96 and Andrea (Behling) Thoennessen ‘96 and assistant coach, Anthony Xavier paid tribute to Head Coach Roger Custodio who passed away in 2014 and read a beautiful poem written by Hall of Famer, Mike Pascuzzi ‘70 about the 1995 State and South West Conference Championship Girls Soccer Team.

Thank you to everyone who came out in support of this year’s inductees. A special thank you goes out to our sponsors, the Simone Family for their Mustang Pride and MVP Table Sponsorships and Jeff Deldin and the IHS 1986 Class S Football Champions for their MVP Table sponsorship. Dear Mustang Family,

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as board chair for the past seven years. As an alumnus and parent of two Mustangs, it has been an honor and a privilege to play a part in helping guide Immaculate High School into the future.

As you know, the strength of IHS comes from its loyal community. I want to thank our volunteer school board members, with whom I’ve served over the years, as well as committee members, parents, and countless other volunteers throughout our Immaculate family. All of what we have accomplished is due to your commitment and dedication to the success of our students.

I also want to thank our exceptional faculty and administration. Despite the extremely difficult challenges in recent years, you put our students first, educated them, kept them safe, and formed them in the values of our motto, Respect, Responsibility and Reverence, while preparing them for their next journey in life.

Finally, as we celebrate our 60th Anniversary, I am excited and proud to pass the baton to our incoming board chair, Joe Draper (’82). Joe brings an energy and excitement to his leadership role that is both rare and refreshing, and I can’t think of a better person to help position Immaculate to achieve even greater success over the next sixty years and beyond!

Thank you, again, for all your support! And remember, once a Mustang, always a Mustang!

Sincerely,

Thank You For Your Leadership!

The Immaculate High School Board of Directors was established in July 2021. Its fiduciary role and responsibilities have been instrumental in assisting with strengthening the implementation of the strategic plans set forth for the school. The Board consists of volunteer members who are charged with using their professional expertise to assist in spiritual life, finance, development, alumni, athletics, enrollment, facilities, and technology. We are thankful to the following members for their service during the 2021-22 school year. A special thanks to David Cappiello for his service on the School Advisory Board from 2015 to 2021 as vice chair and then chairman, and for his leadership and guidance as the Board of Directors Chairman from 2021 to 2022.

The Hatcher Family

We are grateful for the wonderful high school experience Immaculate provided for our three sons. In addition to providing a faith based education and a family atmosphere, Immaculate provided rigorous academic and athletic programs that helped prepare our boys for college success, both in the classroom and in their chosen sports. The opportunities that Immaculate offered them helped shape them into the young men they are today.

This is what we call Mustang Pride! A mom heard her daughter and friend (both freshmen) say as she drove by our billboard, “Wouldn’t it be cool to have our picture taken in front of the sign?” Mom kindly obliged. Carys and Nicolena are already showing the kind of school spirit that is synonymous with Immaculate’s student body!

BECOME A CLASS REP!

Join the IHS Alumni Association as a Class Representative! We are looking for class representatives to assist the alumni office with communicating and connecting with classmates. It’s easy, fun and advances the mission of IHS! You do not need to commit to spending a lot of time to make an immediate impact. If you have the time and interest, taking the lead on getting classmates together on an annual basis or helping to assemble a reunion committee every 5 years builds class unity and ties to IHS. If interested or for more information, please contact Jeannie Demko at jdemko@ myimmaculatehs.org.

Veterans Day Assembly

On November 11 our school community came together to honor and thank all our service men and women with patriotic songs, reflective prayer, inspiring speeches and the attendance of honored guests. Alumnus and keynote speaker Lt. Colonel Thomas J. Saadi ’88, Commissioner of the CT Department of Veterans Affairs, encouraged students to actively support our veterans through deeds and actions.  Colonel Thomas Mertens shared his reflections on his time spent in military service. Donations made by members of the Immaculate community in honor of alumni, family

and friends who have served in the U.S. armed forces totaled $1,160 which was given to the Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs for its veterans assistance program. American flags adorned with the names of the honored veterans transformed Immaculate’s front lawn into a Veterans Hill of Honor during the week of Veterans Day.

The Wilson Family

As parents of a new graduate, we are grateful for how Immaculate prepared our son both for college and for life. The personalized attention he received from his guidance counselor and the faculty helped him have the confidence to pursue a challenging course load and provided the support he needed to succeed. Additionally, Immaculate has helped our son grow in his faith, so he has a strong foundation to draw upon as he gets set to navigate an ever complicated adult world. All throughout his four year journey, we have had the utmost trust in the administration to always make decisions with the best interests of the students in mind. As we look back on our son’s time at Immaculate, there is a sense of family and community that will always live in our hearts.

The Immaculate HS educational journey for our two children has been a significant family experience leaving lifelong impressions about values, community, and faith. Our family has had the blessing to learn the importance of including God in our daily lives and activities. Our son, being a recent IHS alum, gained entrance into a top post-secondary institution demonstrating the high educational excellence IHS upholds. IHS has given our daughter the ability to explore and develop her passions in sports and educational interests specifically in the sciences with the ability to participate in a nursing program. We are blessed to have the opportunity to be members of the IHS family.

DECEMBER

SalChieffalo ‘81 and Scott Mitchell ‘81 share a friendship that began over 40 years ago in elementary school. It was at Immaculate that their bond became a strong enduring one that has resulted in a legacy of friendship that would span generations.

When asked about their friendship, both Scott and Sal simultaneously replied “We look at each other as brothers.” They have shared life’s joys and sorrows and countless weddings, baptisms, confirmations, first communions and graduations. When Scott married Marianne (Urkiel) Mitchell ‘81 in May of 1987, Sal was by his side and Scott was Sal’s best man when he married his wife, Ellen. Sal is godfather to Scott’s daughter, Jillian ‘14 and when it was time for Sal’s daughter, Parker ‘24 to be confirmed in the Catholic faith, Jillian served as her sponsor. All of the Chieffalo and Mitchell children have attended Immaculate High School and both families beam with Mustang Pride!

“We look at each other

as brothers.”

Today, Scott and Sal are passionate about supporting Immaculate and fostering the school mission. Sal, parent of Parker ‘25 is also a board member who serves on the development and alumni committees. Scott has also taken an active role in alumni relations and serves as a board member on the finance committee. Together, they serve as co-chairs for the annual golf outing and have golfed in the tournament for more than 20 years. Their enthusiasm and dedication is a blessing to our Immaculate family and we are grateful for the legacy of friendship that they share with all of us.

Tony Petiprin ‘84

What a pleasure it was in December, when Tony Petiprin ‘84 took the ice at the alumni hockey game playing in a current team versus alumni match up. In the bleachers, his father watched proudly and cheered on all of the Mustang players. Tony was the first Immaculate hockey team captain and the high scorer for the 1984 season scoring 56 goals in 18 games! Off the ice, Tony was an All-State third baseman in baseball his senior year. His younger brother, Mark ‘91, followed in Tony’s footsteps as a first liner for the hockey team in 1991. Once a Mustang, Always a Mustang!

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT

PaulHiro ‘68 epitomizes what it means to be a Mustang and to be of service to others. In early spring, Paul reached out to Immaculate and asked to coordinate a food drive to support the Jericho Partnership Food Pantry in Danbury. He felt it was important for alumni and our current community to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. He rallied his classmates from the Class of ‘68 to volunteer their time to help with the food drive. Thanks to his efforts, Immaculate students, alumni, parents, staff and friends helped “Stuff the Van” with food donations totaling over $7,000.

When Paul arrived at Immaculate for the food drive, he made a special donation to the Monsignor Hossan Chapel, a Hummel statue of our Blessed Mother and Child. Paul tells the story of how this statue has come full circle. “My father passed away in February of 1962 at the age of 54, leaving my mom with 8 kids to raise, aged 5 - 17. Father Hossan hired my mom that summer to be the first secretary at Immaculate. Rosemary Hiro worked as the principal’s secretary until 1987, a total of 25 years. On December 22, 1962, Father Hossan gave my mother the statue as a Christmas present. The statue was loved by my mother and passed on to me. I wanted to donate the statue back to the school after almost 60 years from the time when Fr. Hossan gave it to my mom and thought it would go well in the Monsignor Hossan Chapel, along with the story of its beginning.” The statue has now returned “home” to Immaculate High School where it rests on display in the Monsignor Hossan Chapel.

10 Year Anniversary Hiro

In 2012 the IHS boys basketball team beat Capital Prep 67-53 for the Class S State Championship at Mohegan Sun! Several team members celebrated the 10 year anniversary at this year’s gala.

Alumni from the Classes of ‘66, ‘67, ‘68, ‘69, ‘71 & ‘72 joined us for our annual Golden Mustang Mass & Luncheon in September. This was a special opportunity for our alumni to worship together and reconnect.

CLASS OF 2022 SENIOR CLASS GIFT

The Senior Class Gift is a tradition at IHS and is an opportunity for seniors to leave their legacy just as former Mustangs have done over the years. The 2022 Senior Class Gift will be used to create a new walkway from the senior parking lot to the student entrance with personalized bricks. This “Legacy Walkway” will benefit future generations of Mustangs who will continue to proudly walk into Immaculate High School!

Many seniors made their gift in honor of a favorite teacher, coach or staff member and each honoree received a note acknowledging the gift in their honor. Thank you to the following members of the Class of 2022 for your support!

OnNovember 5, our school community remembered and prayed during a special Mass of Remembrance for all of those members of the Immaculate family who have passed away. Students, faculty, family members and friends paused to remember in prayer and gratitude the lives of those who, although no longer here, remain close to us. Thank you to Fr. Chip O’Neil, Pastor of St.

Joseph Church in Brookfield, who celebrated the Mass. All members of the Immaculate family were asked to share the names of deceased loved ones that they wished to remember; these names were placed on the altar during Mass and family members in attendance placed a lit candle near photos of their loved ones in remembrance of them.
