WHAT IS A PINHOLE CAMERA?

A pinhole camera is a very simple camera. It does not even have any lens. Simply explained, it is a light-proof box with a small hole in one side. Light from a visual scene passes through this single point and projects an inverted image of the scene on the opposite side of the box. Each point on the surface of an illuminated object reflects rays of light in all directions. The hole lets through a certain number of these rays which continue on their course until they meet the projection plane where they produce a reverse image of the object.
