Executive Director Position Summary The Executive Director has overall responsibility for leading the Pocono Mountain Regional (PMR) EMS organization (a not-for-profit 501(c) (3)), integrating it into a high performing entity, establishing its strategic direction and managing the external environment, coordinating and guiding the efforts of its Leadership Team, and assuring its accountability as a nonprofit healthcare provider, consistent with both the vision of the Board of Directors and sound fiscal policy. This position reports to the Board of Directors. Manages a team of 65 professionals, providing 24/7 365 coverage for a 240 square mile area out 3 sub stations. Annual gross billings of approximately $6 million and a call volume of over 7000 per year. Position Location: Northern Monroe County PA Major Responsibilities Service  Accurately identifies real/potential problems affecting the service and implements solutions with follow through and communication. People  Coaches’ subordinates providing feedback; constructive critique of work; facilitates individual development plan; and documents their job performance.  Adheres to all Human Resource policies.  Effectively communicates departmental, organization and industry information to staff.  Effectively builds strong relationships and networks to deliver upon organizational goals.  Mentors’ potential future leaders Quality  Enforces standards of PMR EMS care and develops processes to measure and ensure consistent compliance.  Develops, implements, and evaluates an ongoing emergency services program which assures quality patient care consistent PMR goals & mission.  Monitors compliance with regulatory, accrediting and hospital policy for patient services, and environmental and personnel safety.  Is responsible for PMR’s operational excellence; ensures staff delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and professional standards.  Follows all appropriate Exposure Control Plans/Blood borne and Airborne Pathogens. Finance  Is responsible for the fiscal management of PMR; assures proper utilization of organization’s financial resources.  Develops, prioritizes and defends a capital equipment requests. Community  Demonstrates a poised and confident demeanor that reassures others and commands respect within the organization, municipalities and the community at large.  Develops and builds strategic external networks. Education, Experience, and Training  Associate degree in related discipline  Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited college or university preferred

5 to 10 years’ experience in management Some emergency medical services experience preferred Valid driver’s license National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification or ability to obtain within one year

Compensation: Salaried Position-compensation package up to $100,000 per year depending on experience & qualifications. Health care benefits available.
