Dr. Jerry Fox, associate professor of economics, published his research in the high-ranking “Journal of Macroeconomics.� His paper examines the influence of war and the economy upon presidential popularity during the post-WWII period of 1948-2012.
A chapter of the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association has been established on campus. The chapter makes HPU one of only two student chapters of the NSSA, with the other student chapter located at Syracuse University.
The department of theatre has charted a student chapter of The United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT), making it the only chapter in North Carolina.
