DESCRIPTION OF FUEL CELL PRODUCTS
One more reason to connect with SERTO It is often the simple things that outlive generations, or even entire development cycles. The best example: SERTO radial installation. The radial mounting/dismounting of SERTO unions has been specially developed for installation conditions where space is limited; it requires no special tools. Both stainless steel tubes and flexible hoses are joined reliably with this method. The SERTO union consists of only three elements: base part, compression ferrule and union nut. When mounting, the tube is simply inserted into the ready-made union and tightened by the nut. When the nut is tightened down, the compression ferrule is deformed and constricts lightly around the tube without producing a notch. In the area of the constriction and at the “compression ferrule/base part” joint, the deformation forces produce high specific surface-area pressure contacts which guarantee a firm hold of the tube and tight metallic sealing. By virtue of the elasticity of the compression ferrule system SERTO is extremely resistant to vibration and pressure surges, insensitive to temperature cycling and excellently suited for multiple refittings and releasings. SERTO – this name stands for compression ferrule unions, available in many different materials from 2 to 35mm. New is the product SERTO 2-ferrule union of stainless steel: > High pressure resistance of up to 400 bar (+ 4-fold safety relative to the burst pressure) > acuum resistance of 10-7 mbar L/S > Outstanding gas proofness > Available for oxygen, pure gas and silicone-free applications > Practically no dead space
