Making Great Even Greater in 2013 2012 was a year to remember. Our football team made history by completing the first ever perfect season in HSU Football’s rich history. Our Spring sports are in full swing now, and we are on a record-setting pace both academically and athletically. These successes have played a vital role in breeding the highest attendance in the Great American Conference for football, securing the largest corporate partnership in our institution’s history, and securing more private dollars in a fiscal year than ever before in our 123 year history! In addition to this, more than half of our 300
student-athletes at Henderson State finished with a 3.0 GPA or higher last year!

GREAT QUESTIONS What is the Reddie Club?
The Reddie Club is YOUR club and is the exclusive private funding arm of HSU athletics. Its mission is to raise private funds to support the academic and athletic endeavors for the more than 300 student-athletes of HSU. Donations to HSU Athletics are at an all-time high, and you don’t want to miss out on being a part of the greatness!
Why Should I Donate and How Will My Money Be Put to Use? The ultimate goal of the Reddie Club is to provide HSU student-athletes with the support necessary to participate in a first-class program. The money given to the Reddie Club will be used primarily for:
• Recruiting Quality Student-Athletes
It is no secret that recruiting is the lifeblood to any successful athletics program, and currently HSU Athletic teams do not have a recruiting budget. In order for our coaches to get out and find the best talent in Arkansas and other states in the region, they must have the necessary funds to do so.
• Facility Enhancements
There are many major facility enhancements that we would like to start soon, but the private dollars to begin these projects must be secured.
• Travel and Supplies Budgets
Henderson State has done a great job getting through the recent economic hardships. However, our travel and supplies budgets are not sufficient. We ask too much of our coaches in regard to fund raising, and the Reddie Club needs to adopt those efforts so the coaches can do what they are paid to do.
• Scholarships
Henderson State University is home to more than 300 student-athletes. With just over 100 scholarships, more than 2/3 of our students attend on their own dime. Private scholarships are a great way to leave a legacy as an alum while helping a student-athlete in need.
Is My Gift Tax-Deductible?
Your gift to the Reddie Club is tax-deductible as regulated by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The Reddie Club operates under the Henderson State University Foundation, and you will be given a receipt that directly reflects your giving. Ask your tax advisor for further details.

HSU Football game-day has quickly become a staple for entertainment! We want you to be a part of the action, but with the great success of the 2012 Reddies, availability is limited. We have almost doubled the number of chair-back seats since 2 years ago, and have sold out each season. We are planning another substantial addition of seats this off-season, so get your donation turned in so you don’t miss out on what promises to be another season for the record books!
If we could get just 10% of HSU alums to join the Reddie Club, we would increase our membership drastically. Imagine if this group of 10% gave $10 a month; our student-athletes would benefit from about $300,000 each and every year! Then, the more than 300 student-athletes of Henderson State could participate in the first-class program they deserve. We promise to make you proud of your investment!

This is the second year that HSU Athletics’ Academic Achievement Club, SWAG (Student-athletes With Awesome Grades), has been implemented. Pledges You can send a written pledge of an annual amount to be paid monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually – whatever is most convenient for you! Many Reddie Club members have taken advantage of this flexibility, and it helped increase our numbers in a big way.
Gifts-in-Kind – Red Zone
Joining is Easier than Ever Step 1: Look at the benefits chart on page 8 and determine what level is best for you. Step 2: Fill out ALL information on the flap attached to the envelope below. Step 3: Be sure to claim seats for football games (if you desire). Step 4: Determine which payment method you will be using and check the appropriate box. Step 5: You do NOT need a stamp. Just drop the enclosed envelope in the mail, and it will come where it is needed.
Henderson State Athletics also appreciates gifts in the form of products or services that HSU Athletics would have to purchase throughout the course of a year anyway.
