Stitches in Time 8 March – Summer 2013 Explore the art of quilting and how it has been used for practical, decorative and campaigning purposes. This exhibition brings together quilts made by the Well Women’s Centre as part of Preston Guild 1992, the magnificent Harris wall hanging by Josephine Ratcliff and examples of quilting and patchwork from the Harris and other collections.

This year we are especially looking for responses to the 2012 Preston Guild. As always we encourage children to enter the section for under 16s. You can pick up an entry form at the Museum or from the Harris website from 5 November. Handing in days for work are 11 and 12 January 2013. Many items are for sale and make unique presents.
