Also showing Dressing Up for the Guild Until 23 February 2013 Find out how the people of Preston have dressed up to celebrate Preston Guild over the last 200 years in this unique exhibition based on highlights from the Harris’ historic costume collection. Listen to music and diary extracts, the sounds that set the scene of a busy Guild celebration, whilst you discover the stories of the historic costumes and the people who wore them. Look out for Guild memories from proud Prestonians.

Moments that Matter Lubaina Himid Until 3 November Thousands of people in the North West have been involved in projects connected with the London 2012 Olympics. The impact of this participation has been very significant and the memories will last for years for many people. This archive project by international artist, Lubaina Himid visualises 50 of their stories in a series called Moments that Matter. Each of the 50 Trophy Cups painted on paper is individually made using the unique words and descriptions shared by participants with the artist. Look out for the Moments that Matter banners in the windows of city centre shops and online at nwfor2012.com/momentsthatmatter. Co-commissioned by Cultural Olympiad and Nations and Regions Group, North West. Supported by WE PLAY Expo, Preston Guild 2012 and UCLAN.
