Canada Day: The Next Generation July 1
What does it mean to be Canadian? What has it meant in the past, what does it mean now, and what will it mean for future generations? Canada Day is a chance to marvel at our Canadian identity and its unique capacity to evolve and transform. Harbourfront Centre’s iconic festivities celebrate the rich and vibrant diversity of the Canadian people, from our original inhabitants to our newest citizens.

Kick Up Your Heels invites audiences to explore a diverse range of dance forms through performances, workshops, and classes. Canada’s leading dancers demonstrate Latin, social, hip hop, urban, line dance, free form and contemporary, all accompanied by live music.

In partnership with Brantford, Ontario’s Woodland Cultural Centre, Planet IndigenUS is a contemporary arts and cultural festival that celebrates the voices, stories, and cultures of Indigenous people by showcasing the wealth of work across all disciplines of contemporary Indigenous art. On most Sundays and Thursdays, a secret garden comes to life. Experience the best classical music from around the world in a wonderfully serene setting. Guided tours are available on Wednesdays at 11 am and Thursdays at 5:30 pm on concert days. Craft & Design Studio For more than 40 years our Craft & Design Studio has helped hundreds of artists hone their skills through its Artist-in-Residence programme. This is a rare opportunity for the public to watch artists working in textiles, glass, metal, ceramics, and other materials in a fully-equipped facility.
Craft & Design Workshops Year-round Explore your creativity through unique classes taught by the Artistsin-Residence at Harbourfront Centre. Ongoing adult classes in glass blowing, ceramics, textiles and jewellery are held in our recently renovated Craft & Design Studio. Pre-registration is required.
