You asked for it and we listened! This fall, look for the dynamic artistry of Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers’ lush work exploring the unexpected hybrid between Western and Eastern cultures. Then, join us as legendary singer/songwriter Jim Messina takes the stage with his band. With credits from Buffalo Springfield, Poco and Loggins and Messina, this career-retrospective tour should not be missed! Next, we welcome Tony Award nominee Rob McClure, one of the hottest young talents on Broadway, straight off his national tour of “Something Rotten!” for an evening of Cabaret that will leave you smiling! Spring semester brings two Los Angeles-based dance companies that will leave you wanting more! In 2013, Dance Magazine named BODYTRAFFIC one of “25 to Watch,” and they have been playing top festivals and performing arts centers ever since! Then, we will knock you off your seats with Contra-Tiempo Urban Latin Dance Theater in an evening you won’t forget, as you get your chance to dance with the company! We will wrap up the year with the outstanding acapella sounds of VoicePlay, brought to national attention as finalists on NBC’s “The Sing-Off!” This year, we are thrilled to announce our new Performing Arts Fund for Excellence. YOU can help to ensure that the performing arts stay in Harrisburg while we continue to bring outstanding masterclasses, workshops and special events to area schools and nonprofit organizations. Please visit hacc.edu/GiveNow, select the “Performing Arts Fund for Excellence” from the drop-down menu, make YOUR gift and join us in our commitment to education and our community! I’ll see you at the theatre!

As seen on Season 4 of NBC’s “The Sing-Off!” Original. Imaginative. Ridiculous. VoicePlay is unlike any theatrical experience available today, recreating the orchestrated sound of an entire musical production with nothing but the human voice. The cast of VoicePlay ping-pongs between eras and styles, channeling the breadth of the musical landscape and lacing it with inventive and often hilarious on-stage theatrics.
