Why Did Brianna Choose HACC Since It Was Not Her First Choice? The answer: “Debt Free!” “...I originally was not thrilled at the thought of going to HACC. All

through high school, I had my eyes set on liberal arts colleges. I was greatly looking forward to the “freshman experience” and being away from home. However, choosing HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, to complete my associate degree was THE best choice I made. Because of HACC’s low cost and scholarships, I completed my first two years of college debt free! Plus, the professors really invested in me. And, I was shocked when Cornell University accepted ALL of my credits. This made it so easy for me to transfer as a junior and earn my bachelor’s degree in communication.” No matter what your path is at HACC, we have financial options for you. You can apply for free money each term as a current student. Thanks to the support of the HACC Foundation, we offer more than 200 scholarships for credit and non-credit programs. Go to hacc.edu/Scholarships for more information. You can access financial aid. We offer affordable tuition, and you may be eligible for financial aid. Tuition Costs in an Academic Year:

Meet YOUR Faculty! Among our award-winning, student-focused faculty, you’ll find attorneys, entrepreneurs, clinical psychologists, exhibited artists, government officials, healthcare professionals, music composers and published researchers, along with many other accomplished professionals who share their expertise in our classrooms. Gettysburg Campus Brooke Kaiser, MSN, RN Adjunct Professor of Nursing “My favorite part about working with my nursing students at HACC is watching their face and expressions as they’re problem solving. They feel accomplished while learning, and that is the most rewarding part of my job.”

Harrisburg Campus and Virtual Learning Robert Schanke Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems “Technology is everywhere and plays a big part in today’s society. Teaching in the computer technology field allows me to help students regardless of their major or career goals. I enjoy working with students and showing them how to use technology and how technology can help them in their future careers.” Lancaster Campus Susan Cooper-Nguyen Assistant Professor of Mathematics “We get a lot of nontraditional students at HACC and many of them are coming back to school and looking for a change in career and/or lifestyle. It’s the humanitarian aspect of the job that is most rewarding; knowing that you are helping people better their lives…I get to know all my students’ names and faces and my classes tend to have 25 students or less.” York Campus Alfred Siha Assistant Professor of English “I am inspired by the determination and focus of my students. I see the life-changing power that education has on their lives and I am grateful to play a small part in that. I am also inspired by the College itself as it provides high-quality educational access to our region at a low cost. The support of our campus and college administration enables faculty to do what they love and do it best, with minimal barriers between us, best practices in our discipline, and our students.”

#ChooseHACC in Gettysburg. When you walk on to HACC’s Gettysburg Campus, you experience a student-focused atmosphere demonstrated by a colorful student commons, the HUB. Along with the HUB’s inviting fireplace lounge and coffee shop, you are surrounded by students studying, tutoring their peers or participating in the ongoing activities. Our halls are filled with students of all ages, including students still in high school. Through our Dual Enrollment Program, eligible high school students take college-level courses on campus, at their high school or online through Virtual Learning. High school students can build a pathway to obtain an associate degree, certificate or diploma by the time they graduate from high school – or even before they graduate high school! “HACC helped me grow as a student through their affordable tuition rates and their excellent professors, who are always willing to help! Thanks to HACC, I was able to complete my associate degree a month before receiving my high school diploma. I returned to HACC in the fall of 2017 to study nursing with an ultimate goal to merge my HACC business and nursing degrees into a leadership position in healthcare.” Sadira Stallings, Former HACC Dual Enrollment Student and Current HACC Nursing Student

“I wanted to get out of high school and be done. I had an academic advisor and…she talked to me about what college is and how much it would benefit my future. The next day, I came back to her office and said, ‘I want to go to college. I want to make a change.’ I was scared but anxious, but I did everything I was asked to do. I am so glad I came to HACC.” Keichsla Morales-Pena HACC Early Childhood-Elementary Education Student, Scholarship Recipient
