Why Contribute to the PAC? TO BUILD A STRONG ATHLETICS PROGRAM. You will have the satisfaction of knowing that you contributed to the success of up-and-coming GSU sports teams.

TO SUPPORT THE UNIVERSITY. Athletics is the window through which a university is often viewed, making it a tremendous recruiting tool and a catalyst for philanthropy in all areas.

TO PROMOTE EDUCATION. GSU’s Athletics program builds champions on and off the field, and our athletic scholarships help recruit and support promising student-athletes.

TO SHOW CIVIC PRIDE. An effective support organization like the PAC helps ensure a successful athletics program, which in turn provides opportunity, activity and enjoyment for the community.

2009 CAA BASEBALL CHAMPIONS

TO HAVE SOME FUN! Nothing wrong with that! Being a PAC member helps you get the most from your game-day experience and puts you on the team behind the team for GSU Athletics.

A PANTHER’S PERSPECTIVE

Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference! JAMIE HARGATHER, GSU SOCCER CLASS OF ’05 “My experience as a student-athlete at Georgia State provided me a great opportunity to pursue not only the quality career field I am in today, but also my personal goals as an athlete. Through my time at Georgia State, I was able to form lifelong bonds both on and off the field that I still cherish today. That is the reason that I am a proud member of the PAC. I take pride in the fact that I can help shape the lives of studentathletes who are currently in the same position I was in just a few years ago.”

FAQs WHO CAN JOIN THE PANTHER ATHLETIC CLUB (PAC)?

IS MY CONTRIBUTION TO THE PAC TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?

All supporters of GSU Athletics are encouraged to join the PAC. You do not have to be an alumnus of GSU or a former student-athlete to join.

Yes, it may be tax-deductible in full or in part (see pg. 6). You will receive a gift receipt from the Georgia State University Foundation for tax purposes.

DOES MY DONATION INCLUDE THE COST OF TICKETS?

WHAT CAN I DO TO IMPROVE MY PRIORITY POINTS RANKING FOR SEATS IN THE GEORGIA DOME?

The cost of tickets is not included in your donation to the PAC (excluding Huddle Seats); however, purchasing season tickets does add to your Priority Points, which affects the location of your seating in the Georgia Dome.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A RESTRICTED GIFT AND AN UNRESTRICTED GIFT? An unrestricted annual gift supports all 18 varsity sports and helps offset non-budgeted expenses throughout the course of the year. A restricted contribution is made to a sport-specific fund, a capital project or an endowment. Priority Seating and Parking opportunities are determined based on annual unrestricted support and Priority Points. While restricted giving is important and much appreciated, these gifts do not count toward the minimums required for Priority Seating and/or Parking.

Increasing your donation will result in a higher number of Priority Points. Other ways include, but are not limited to, joining the Alumni Association and purchasing baseball and/or men’s or women’s basketball season tickets. All contributions must be received by April 30, 2010, to count toward your Priority Points total for 2010 GSU Football season ticket allocation. You can also receive additional Priority Points by purchasing your football season tickets before April 30, 2010.

WHERE DO I GO FOR HELP? Contact the Panther Athletic Club Office at 404/413-4000. One of our helpful PAC staff members can answer all your questions about the benefits of joining and contributing to the PAC.
