The Office of Culture and Diversity exists to facilitate a Christ-centered community that explores the diversity of God’s kingdom in order to learn, educate, worship, and live together in unity. We believe we are better able to understand and adapt to the world around us through the Biblical framework of the Imago Dei principle found in Genesis 1:27.

The Office of Culture & Diversity works with Residence Life:

Collaborating on events

Creating spaces where students are seen and heard Learning how everyone is more alike than different. (celebrating differences and uniqueness within cultures)

Creating activities like: Circle Talks, Mental Health Days, Karaoke Nights, Fusion Dance Nights, Small Groups, Study Nights and more.

College is a major life transition. We know that life impacts school, and we care about who you are as a whole person. At GU you’ll find supportive, caring individuals who will walk with you throughout your college experience.

“The people here are like my family. It’s my home. My professors invite me into their homes for dinner. I’m part of a local church and people there make me a part of their families. You are known here and it makes a huge difference.” – Moriah

“Who would have thought that I could have made some of the best friends in the world from other parts of the world right here in Greenville, IL. Meeting guys from Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, and then getting to study abroad and travel to visit some of their families has been the experience of a lifetime.” - Kyle

We want our students to discover the wide range of people here on campus. Now as a resident director, I’ve been able to create connections with guys in my dorm because of my life experiences.
