This year, the Grapevine Chamber is partnering with the Colleyville Chamber to host a very special luncheon in April. On April 14th at Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center, the Chambers will be celebrating the "Teachers of the Year" for GCISD. It has been a crazy couple of years and we ALL know how hard it's been to shift our processes for our businesses...imagine doing that for 13,000 students! Every year, each campus selects a Teacher of the Year, as well as a Paraprofessional of the Year within our school district. They celebrate them on their individual campus, and then select both an Elementary and a Secondary Teacher of the Year to "compete" within our region, and then at state levels. There are also other recognitions including employees of the year such as Nursing, Transportation, Nutrition Services, etc. This year, we've invited GCISD to bring all of their principals, teachers of the year and employees of the year to our April luncheon so that our business community can also recognize them! Additionally, they will use this opportunity to announce to all attending the Elementary & Secondary Teachers of the Year! Sponsorships opportunities are available and start at $100. To become a sponsor of the luncheon, email RaDonna at radonna@grapevinechamber.org. The cost to attend the luncheon is $25 with a reservation by 5 p.m., Tuesday, April 12th, or $40 after that date. "I have absolutely fallen in love with Grapevine. Moving to the North Texas area last year has been a challenge, but one that I have embraced with every step along the way. WOMEN'S DIVISION NEWS What an exciting time for the Women’s Division of the Grapevine Chamber. As we roll into April, we are working hard and preparing for the 26th Annual Great Taste of Grapevine to be held April 21st at the Courtyard Dallas DFW Airport North/Grapevine. Bring your friends and come enjoy food tastings from some of Grapevine’s finest restaurants. There will be food, drink, music, and much more including a local Grapevine winery wine pull and a Raffle for a wagon full of beer, whiskey and more. This is one of the largest fundraisers hosted by the Women’s Division. All proceeds go toward purchasing school supplies for a special group of GCISD students. Please consider attending this community wide event. We had a great March luncheon where we learned about House of Shine and how we could find our Shine. Our next luncheon is Tuesday April 12th at the Blankenship Business Center with Nash Farm presenting our program.
