The Last 18 Months Have Flown By As 2017 draws to an end so does my tenure as your Chairman of the Board of Directors. Since arriving in Grapevine over 5 years ago, I would have never thought I would have had the
privilege to serve on such an esteemed board in a fantastic community. Assuming the role earlier than anticipated in June of 2016, the last 18 months have flown by. In this time, we have seen our membership grow to its highest

The Don Ramey Community Spirit Award is given to an individual that, over a period of time, has contributed outstanding leadership and devotion to the Grapevine community.
The Grapevine Chamber of Commerce Member of the Year is a business that has exhibited outstanding contributions to the Grapevine Chamber, City of Grapevine and civic organizations during the past year.
Ted Willhoite Legacy Award The Ted Willhoite Legacy Award recognizes an individual that has made a lasting personal contribution and enduring legacy making the community of Grapevine a better place to live. This award recognizes distinguished individuals who are champions of responsible change, who possesses a pioneering spirit, or demonstrates inventiveness to inspire and educate others.
D. E. Box Citizen of the Year The D.E. Box Citizen of the Year is an individual who has voluntarily and sincerely given of their time and leadership through an overall community development program-working together to improve the economic, civic, and cultural well-being of the Grapevine area.
Business Hall of Fame Members of the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce Business Hall of Fame are long time area businesses that have made outstanding contributions, not only to the Grapevine Chamber, but to the community as well.
Women’s Division Woman of the Year This prestigious honor recognizes a woman who has distinguished herself through outstanding involvement benefiting the community of Grapevine. The nomination may recognize service from any past years.

Wow! What a year it’s been for the Women’s Division. We started off the year with one of the most successful Great Taste of Grapevine events and we will be wrapping up our year of fundraising with Elves on the Run 5K December 2nd. Please come join us Saturday December 2nd at Oak Grove Park starting at 8:30 for a great time. In addition to the chip timed 5K, there will be a Kids Fun Run, an elf costume contest, vendors, food, and much more. So mark your calendars and join us at Oak Grove on the 2nd. The Women’s Division works hard all year to raise funds to support charitable outreaches throughout the year. This year, we were able to contribute more than $31,000 towards the purchase of school supplies for GCISD students in need and we will contribute $15,000 to brighten the lives of senior clients of GRACE during the holiday season. In addition to these primary causes, through the generosity of our community’s help in our fundraising efforts, we gave a little more than $12,000 to several other non-profit community minded organizations. We are humbled to be able to SERVE those less fortunate in our community and we are grateful for the community support received throughout the year from our many sponsors, volunteers and participants – without each or you, none of this would be possible. So Thank You!!! On behalf of the Women’s Division, I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday Season. It has been our pleasure to SERVE the community during 2017. I hope to see everyone at our next luncheon on December 19th at 11:45 at the Courtyard/TownePlace Suites by Marriott.
