Football Centre of Excellence Grantham College and Harrowby United Football Club have partnered up to create the Football Centre of Excellence.
Now holding football trials for September 2017
The programme will include the following: Education Study nationally recognised qualifications: - OCR Cambridge Technical Diploma Sport (Full Level 2) Applicants will need 4 GCSEs at grade D - BTEC Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Sport Applicants will need 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above including maths or English) or a Merit in a sports related Level 2 Diploma Highly qualified and experienced tutors Maths and English GCSE or functional skills lessons and exams if required Transferable skills that can be used in numerous industries
Football UEFA Licensed Coaches 4 football based sessions a week Specialist support staff including; physiotherapists, performance analysts, psychologists, nutritionists and strength and conditioning coaches Continuous testing throughout the academic year Reviews of performance
Post programme progression routes University – Higher education pathways including HNC/D courses, Honours Degrees, Foundation Degrees, etc. Apprenticeships – Work-based apprenticeships within sport, leisure or fitnesss Employment – Roles within sport, management, leisure, science; in the UK and abroad Football – Progression into club’s reserve team, first team, onto professional clubs, feeder clubs, American scholarships
