The team Global Services has over the years strived to be the best at supplying spares to the superyacht sector. We celebrate our 21st birthday this year and still consider an order of any size a good order; we pride ourselves on, as we did at the very beginning, still supporting vessels from small to the largest superyachts with the same enthusiasm. Over the years as technology has advanced we have invested heavily in the development of our own computer software that has been customised to enhance the purchase and control of orders, making not only our lives more efficient, but also that of our valued clients.

During the past two decades our margins have dropped tremendously as more and more competition has entered the market. At the helm of Global’s dedicated Sales Team is James Beddall. Having worked at the company for 14 years, James has built up a wealth of knowledge and experience surrounding the supply needs of superyachts; whether it be a New Build project, refit or cruising yacht. In 2003, James’ career took off working with a 46m Heesen project in assisting the Chief Engineer with sourcing and supplying all spares and tools required on board prior to departure. Fast-forward to 2016 and James has worked with over 60 New Build projects of up to 180m-plus from all over Europe and deals with yacht management companies, Captains, Owner Reps, Project Managers and associated crew. Much of James’ time is now spent traveling to visit these shipyards and meet build teams or see new and potential clients in the Mediterranean, which ensures that clients are happy and making full use of all the services that Global has to offer. When not on the road, however, James is heading up the busy Sales Team in the UK, keeping up the high level of service provided to customers over the years.

All part of the service... Received Goods are delivered on a daily basis to our warehouse from suppliers all over the world. We are consistently looking for ways to reduce freight costs and have recently implemented a collections service, collecting goods from suppliers and consolidating deliveries where possible. In some cases this has reduced freight costs by up to 40% - savings which we pass on to our customers.
Shipping Global Services has accounts with the major courier and freight companies so shipping can be arranged to meet required deadlines. Where requested, items for a yacht are consolidated and shipped out together to save on shipping costs. If there is a storage problem in your yard or on-board, we can arrange long-term storage facilities.

Every box received is opened and the contents carefully checked against the order details to ensure that the correct items have been supplied and that they are in perfect condition.
Standardising information increases efficiency
Booked in and labelled Received goods are booked in to our unique computer system and affixed with a label that can include a customer specified barcode and on-board location reference as well as product descriptions and part numbers. Items can be bagged and/or packed into customer pre-ordered storage boxes.
To make our service more efficient, we encourage customers to provide the best available information at the point of quote or order request. The following information about a product can help our Sales Team clarify your request: • Manufacturer or brand • Part number
For large orders, boxes are inventoried and palletised by department and order. To avoid confusion, we do not mix departments (e.g. we would not pack interior supplies with engineering consumables) and each box is packed with different colour tape to identify the department.
