Georgia Regents University, founded in 1828, is one of only four public research universities in the state of Georgia and the only one with a nationally recognized academic health center. GRU offers more than 120 degrees within nine colleges and schools and has campuses and off-site instructional programs throughout the state. Students are taught by some of the most prestigious scientists, clinicians, scholars, and artists in the nation. GRU faculty members are not only insightful and expert instructors, they are also dedicated to inspiring students

and work outside of the classroom to help students achieve an educational experience unlike any other.

HOPE and ZELL MILLER Scholarships

Designed to encourage and assist students in a timely 4-year graduation, students who follow the 4 Years 4 You initiative can save $10-20,000 on the cost of their education. Each student is assigned a professional advisor who assists with academic guidance, course registration, and career planning. Before the start of their first semester, freshmen can sign the pledge to complete the program and boast they chose to finish in 4!

Jaguar Athletics As one of the best collegiate golf programs in the nation, both the men’s and women’s golf teams compete at the Division I level. The Jaguars have qualified for the NCAA Championship 13 times in the last 19 years and won the men’s National Championship in 2010 and 2011.

NCAA Final Four in 2012. A national powerhouse in men’s basketball, the team has captured the Peachbelt Conference Championship in three of the last six seasons and advanced to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight three straight seasons from 2008 - 2010.

An experience-based education. Georgia Regents University is known for its high academic quality and studentfocused environment. The academic experience at GRU is enriched through strong institutional support for study abroad programs, undergraduate research, and the Honors Program. Honors Program Open to students in every major, the Honors Program seeks to challenge students intellectually, enhance their interpersonal communication skills, and prepare them for a culturally diverse society. It is not a separate degree

program but is designed to augment the course work required for a degree. Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship The Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship at GRU offers undergraduates the opportunity to build close working relationships with faculty and peers. Undergraduates are challenged to become active contributors to the development and dissemination of new knowledge in their field of study.
