low hunting success rate. Wolves can live up to 13 years in the wild, but the average is only 6 to 8 years. The wolf has 42 teeth. The wolf has extremely powerful jaws capable of generating 1,500 psi pressure. The wolf's pointed premolars and molars are useful for tearing and shearing once the prey has been killed. In scenting an animal, wolves must usually be downwind of the prey. Wolves are often confused with Indian

dogs, huskies, male mutes and German Shepherd Dogs. The gestation period for the wolf is 63 days. The wolf has a broad heavy muzzle. The coyote evolved separately from the wolf over 500,000 years.

Change Chapter five “C‟mon! You did it earlier! Burst into flames again!” Marie yells. “I can‟t!” The only sign that I can burst into flames is smoke coming out of my ears and nose. “It‟s not the easiest thing in the world to do! I could only do it when I was really mad before! Now I‟m mad at you because you‟re pressuring me! I CAN‟T DO IT!!!” I burst into flames. “Oh, would you look at that. I can.” “My plan all along.” Caitlyn says smugly. Then she sprays me with a fire extinguisher. “Hey! What‟d you do that for?!” I yell at her. My fire is extinguished and I don‟t think I can do it again. Caitlyn laughs and says, “You need to try again.” I start complaining that I‟m all wet and of course I‟ll never catch on fire until I‟m dry. “Then you‟ll have to dry yourself off,” Caitlyn shrugs. “But this is so tir-

ing! I‟m exhausted!” I say exasperated. “Can we take a break? Pleeeease?” I whine. I flop on my bed and pretend to snore. “At this rate, you‟ll never master your powers before December 15th!” Caitlyn scolds. I stop mid-snore. “What‟s December 15th?” I ask. “Oh,” Caitlyn looks embarrassed. “Ummm… I shouldn‟t tell you… Oh, well, I‟ve always been bad at keeping secrets. Soooo… I‟ll tell you. It‟s the day you realize your purpose and fight our only enemy. This is part of your purpose, but only part.” “What is our only enemy?” I ask slightly scared. As I‟m thinking: bad at keep-

ing secrets? You didn‟t tell me I had all these amazing powers for my whole life!

“No one knows, he‟s just been stealing Changelings ever since you were born. He knew what your purpose was and I guess is trying to find you. Well, at least that‟s what he said before he disappeared. He was in town once and someone saw him and, well, now that guy has gone completely nuts. He was

pretty much brainwashed.” “And I‟m supposed to defeat him!? Me? The girl who trips over a ladybug? How??!” I yell. Caitlyn shrugs and just like that we go back to trying to make me burst into flame.

Hamster Facts by Alese Cone Hamsters are common household pets. They are inexpensive, friendly, and fairly easy to care for. Life span: 2-3 years Cage temperature range: 65-80° F Litter size: 5-10 young The average life expectancy of a hamster is between 2 and 3 years of age. The most commonly encountered bacterial infection in hamsters is "wet tail." The precise cause of the disease is not fully under-

stood. If they get it, take them to a vet and a Pet Smart store where they sell a medicine called wet tail medicine and try to feed it to your hamster. Hamsters can be tame or wild. They can travel up to eight miles per hour in a single night! That‟s a lot of running for such a small creature. Hamsters are actually native to parts of Asia. Their names can be, Oswald, Alex, King, Fluffy, Polly, and Ashley.

Reviews of the month Video Game Review by Jacob Robbins and Trevor Benoit This week, we are reviewing the famous Wii game Ghost Squad. In this game, you are part of an elite squad that not only is a part of three military operations, but saves the president two times! The game features 99 levels to level up. There are nine or ten costumes that you can unlock. The last costume that you unlock is a gold costume. Once you get the game, you will not stop playing it. Have fun.

MY SIMS KINGDOM Review by Kyle Alger This fun, amazing, lifelike, “problem solving,” game is for the Wii and all sorts of DS‟s. In this game, you can create your avatar and decorate your house, help people play various mini games, and create things with an invention that uses cretin manna types. Someone has stolen everything in the kingdom, and you have to re-create everything that he stole. Now I‟m not going to spoil any more for you, you‟ll have to find out yourself!

Book Review by Kyle Alger This week‟s book review is on an AMAZING book called The Maze Runner by James Dashner. This suspenseful book is about Thomas, a boy sent to a GIANT moving code (The Maze), but what they don‟t know that the maze IS the code until the only girl and the last person to come in the maze arrives. These monsters called Grievers always try to attack the kids in their “town” but they never come in the town unless the “Creators” tell them to. They are completely safe from the Grievers at night because of the almost physically impossible walls that move every night when the Grievers come out to wander about the maze. So why is it called the Maze RUNNER? Thomas will soon be the maze runner‟s keeper—and it is really hard to become a runner, never mind the keeper. There is a lot of little and yet VERY VERY important details (but I don‟t want to spoil it for all of you) in it plus how they get out of the maze and only sixteen out of kids survive their way out. I would very much suggest buying or borrowing this book.

Beauty Tips Why hurt your skin, hair, and nails when you can use natural home remedies to make you more beautiful? In this article, I will tell you all the home remedies that you can use instead of toxic chemicals and skin drying creams. As I was surfing the web, I first saw a sight called pioneerthinking.com. So, ladies, do you have to many split ends? Take small sections of hair and carefully twist them in a gentle downward motion. Any split ends will automatically stick out. Carefully snip into the twist with sharp scissors. Don't cut right through; just cut into the thickness to remove the damaged cuticles and give a natural layered effect. Be careful to cut roughly the same amount from each twist. Remember, sometimes the simplest, and least expensive, ideas are the best. So

get trimming! TIPS TO GET RID OF THIS NIGHTMARE: 1. Use specialist products that are designed to seal the splits temporarily in order to catch any splits that are shorter than the length you want to cut your hair to and to allow your hair to grow a little longer before you trim. 2. Go for deep conditioning treatment every week, if possible and especially if your hair is prone to splitting, chemically treated or treated by ceramic straighteners. Conditioning is mandatory every time you have a chemical. 3. Have a trim regularly. 4. Avoid excess heat and too much brush-

ing and combing and please don't brush, scratch or shampoo hair and scalp before any chemical service. Never hesitate to invest in quality combs and real bristle brushes. 5. Do shampoo your hair after a workout or strenuous exercise. The salt from perspiration will erode your hair. If you work out more than once a week, consult your stylist for your particular needs.
