PERSONAL DIGITAL ASSISTANT (PHASE TWO) Sure we had PDA’s a few years back that were interesting but clunky. Today we have really smart, Smart Phones such as the Galaxy and iPhone. Expect these to really connect with you deeper as your personal assistant. Siri on the iPhone will evolve to be more capable and if you haven’t used Siri much try it. While at first I thought it a novelty, I’ve found it a whole lot easier to get Siri to book an appointment for the dentist by simply telling her / him rather then typing it all in with my big thumbs. OCULUS RIFT Probably the most exciting tech company to watch for gamers is Oculus VR who have developed the Oculus Rift - an upcoming virtual reality head set. You wear this over your eyes whilst playing and this will be a highly immersive game environment that should make your gaming experience deeper. Named by CNN as one of their Top 10 Inventions we’re waiting for a finished consumer version to see just how amazing it will be.
Expect amazing games for both systems but also watch out for these systems becoming a larger part of your lounge room entertainment. They will likely be the centre of your home entertainment connecting you to friends, movies, games and social media. All you have to do is go out and get one now...
