August is all about Family fun with MWR! August is Family Fun Month, and we have a number of great Family-friendly options for you. From the Soldier Show (Wednesday, Aug. 21, and it’s open to the entire community; page 11) to CYS Services programs and outdoor adventure trips, you’re sure to have a great time. Take the 31 days of fun challenge on page 15 and send off summer in a fun way. You can also sign up the Parent-Caddy Golf Jam (page 15) or a hike, mountain biking trip or sightseeing tour with the Northwest Adventure Center (page 20). August also brings the Exceptional Family Member Program’s Camp JBLM. EFMP Families are invited to sign up for Pirates of American Lake II, which promises to be fun for both overnight and day campers (see page 18). Service members are invited to check out what’s in store at Warrior Zone at Lewis North. From patio barbecues, computer gaming, open mic night and more, all the details are on page 12.
