We’ve since brought all those elements up to modern standards and at the same time had it beautifully refurbished from top to bottom, we have installed a new kitchen as well as adding a conservatory which we use all year round. It’s just lovely throughout and we love generous space. From the huge entrance hall with wonderful high ceilings, each of the reception rooms are generously proportioned and even the bedrooms are larger than average. I used to joke that I’d come in from work and say, ‘honey, I’m home,’ but I’d never get a response because the house is just so big!” “The house sits within the middle of the plot and the garden wraps all of the way around,” continues the owner. “There are lawns both front and back, a York stone patio just beyond the French doors that lead out from the hall, there are lots of wonderful mature trees and shrubs creating a lovely outlook. Being south facing, the garden is bathed in sunshine during the summer; we enjoy a good degree of privacy and it’s also extremely safe and secure for children. The garden is a feature that I’ve really loved.”*
