Instituto Multimedia DerHumALC

The International Film Festival on Human Rights, organized by the Multimedia Institute DerHumALC, is held annually in the cities of Buenos Aires and Santiago del Estero. It intends to create a space for reflection and debate and add value to Human Rights concerns by means of the artistic representation entailed in quality filmmaking. The DerHumALC Project — Human Rights in Latin America and the Caribbean — was formed with the idea of strengthening the treatment and study of Human Rights related issues from the point of view of civil society. In order to consolidate the organizational structure of the Festival, which began in 1997, the DerHumALC Multimedia Institute (IMD) was created on March 8th, 1999, as a non-profit association based in the City of Buenos Aires and with a branch in the Province of Santiago del Estero, Argentina.
