State police say a drunken driving suspect ran away from the scene of a central Pennsylvania crash but was found on a nearby barn roof — naked — and was arrested once he fell off. State police say 20-year-old Daquan Tate, of Hollidaysburg, faces drunken driving charges for crashing into a speed limit sign and a roadside mailbox after losing control of his car early Saturday. Tate wasn’t hurt when he fell off the barn roof, police said. (AP)

study. “But when you tell them that you’re in a clinical trial in which you inoculate yourself with parasites that will suck on your blood through your intestines, people aren’t too interested.” It can be tough to find participants, even though they often are paid for their time. At GW, their feasibility study — a step before a massive clinical trial — has gone through the
usual evaluations. Still, here they are, ready to start with a second group of volunteers — except they don’t have 10 people signed up yet. “Obviously, I’m kind of a weirdo to agree to do this,” Markowitz said. Host parasites? Sure. Give blood samples? OK. Bring in stool samples every week? No problem! Markowitz and her friends didn’t have fevers, vomiting, diarrhea, any real gastrointestinal distress. Her fellow volunteer Patrick Prodey found collecting the stool samples “laughably awkward” and the matching CoolWhip-like containers and little lunch bags they were given for carrying them to the hospital ridiculous. “They were like, ‘It will be inconspicuous on the Metro!’ ” “Mostly I was digging it,” Prodey said. “Getting $75 a week for showing up at an office once a week for 20 minutes max.” At GW, the staff was a little surprised: “This was the first time they’d ever seen someone so enthused for a procedure like this,” Markowitz said. Campaign launches to save spacesuit The National Air and Space Museum is launching a crowdfunding campaign to conserve the spacesuit Neil Armstrong wore on the moon. The Kickstarter campaign began Monday, marking 46 years since Armstrong’s moonwalk in 1969. Conservators say spacesuits were built for short-term use with materials that break down over time. The museum aims to raise $500,000 on Kickstarter to conserve the spacesuit, build a climate-controlled display case and digitize the spacesuit with 3-D scanning. (AP)

THE DISTRICT Researchers at George Washington University hope to develop a vaccine to prevent an infection that is afflicting more than half a billion people around the world. “This is one of the neglected tropical diseases that has the highest impact on health globally,” said David Diemert, an associate professor, who has been working with colleagues for more than a decade hoping to eradicate the effects of the hookworm parasite. There’s just one problem: To study the hookworm, researchers need healthy people in D.C. to volunteer to let the parasites burrow into their skin and live inside their bodies for several months. “I tried my best to explain to people” why they should volunteer, said Anna Markowitz, who has almost completed her master’s degree in public health at GW and stepped up to take part in the

THE DISTRICT DNA from a man accused in the slayings of a wealthy Washington family and their housekeeper was found on a construction vest inside a car stolen from the family’s home, and a man driving the car was seen wearing a similar vest in the aftermath of the slayings, a detective testified Monday. A judge cited the DNA and other evidence against 34-yearold Daron Wint in finding probable cause that he committed first-degree murder and ordered him held without bond pending further court proceedings. Wint is charged in the deaths of Savvas Savopoulos; his wife, Amy; their 10-year-old son, Philip; and a housekeeper, Veralicia Figueroa. Police believe the Savopouloses and their housekeeper were
held captive for 18 hours before they were slain in the early afternoon of May 14 after the delivery Wint of a $40,000 ransom. Their mansion was then set on fire. Wint was arrested a week after the slayings. The lead investigator on the case, Detective Jeffrey Owens, also testified Monday that, according to their autopsies, Savvas Savopoulos and Figueroa had been strangled. Police had said previously that all four victims were beaten and stabbed. Wint was arrested in Washington while riding in a car with three other people. A box truck was being driven alongside that vehicle, and a brother of Wint was
a passenger in that truck, according to testimony. Police recovered more than $30,000 in cash and money orders from the two vehicles, including $20,000 from the truck, and Wint’s brother told police that Wint had given him the money, Owens said. No one else has been charged in the slayings, even though police have said they believe Wint did not act alone. “It’s our belief more than one person was involved because of the amount of people in the home,” Owens said. In addition to Wint, authorities found DNA from Savvas Savopoulos and another, unknown person on the construction vest, Owens said. Similar vests were found in the home, he said.

Blast kills 30, wounds nearly 100 in Turkey Officials point to ISIS after bombing near the Syrian border ISTANBUL An explosion rocked the Turkish city of Suruc near the Syrian border on Monday, killing 30 people and wounding nearly 100 others in what Turkish authorities said appeared to be an Islamic State group-inspired suicide bombing. The midday explosion happened at a cultural center in Suruc as a political group, the Federation of Socialist Youths, was wrapping up a news conference on plans to rebuild the Syrian city of Kobani, a witness said. “The way the incident took place is clearly an incident of terrorism and most likely a suicide

bombing, savagely [committed] and that we curse,” said Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. “We not only curse it. We are face-toface with a terrorism incident. We have the willpower to find and certainly punish those who are responsible.” There was no immediate claim of responsibility but one senior government official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly, said Turkey suspected the Islamic State group was behind the blast. Suruc, in southeastern Turkey, is just across the border from Kobani, the scene of fierce battles between Kurdish groups and ISIS that lasted from last year into early this year. The city, heavily populated by Syrian
Kurds, was the site of the Islamic State group’s biggest defeat since the militants established control over large swathes of Iraq and Syria. Its ruins have become a symbol of Kurdish resistance. If it is confirmed that ISIS was behind the attack, it would represent a major expansion of the group’s campaign into Turkey at a time that the Turkish government appears to have stepped up its efforts against the group. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in Cyprus on an official visit, was briefed on the investigation, according to the state-run Anadolu Agency. “I personally and on behalf of my nation condemn and curse those who perpetrated this savagery,” Erdogan said in a news conference. New research suggests poor sleep may increase people’s risk of Alzheimer’s disease by spurring a brain-clogging gunk that in turn further interrupts shut-eye. Disrupted sleep may be one of the missing pieces in explaining how a hallmark of Alzheimer’s, a sticky protein called beta-amyloid, starts its damage long before people have trouble with memory, researchers reported Monday. The research suggests that sleep problems actually interact with some of the disease processes involved in Alzheimer’s, and that those proteins in turn affect the deep sleep that’s so important for memory formation. Hawking launches $100M hunt for aliens companies like Facebook, said the power of Silicon Valley technology and innovation would be used. Organizers say the “Breakthrough Initiatives” project is the biggest ever scientific search for alien life. It includes a “listening” program — the effort to analyze vast amounts of radio signals in search of signs of life — and a “messaging” program that will include $1 million in prizes for digital messages that best represent the planet Earth. The messages will not be sent, however, in part because some scientists — including Hawking
— fear messages could possibly spur aggressive actions by alien races. In addition, the Lick Observatory in California will conduct a deeper-than-ever search for optical laser transmissions. The project will be 50 times more sensitive than earlier searches and will cover 10 times more of the sky, organizers say. It will also make use of SETI@ home, a project that uses some 9 million volunteers throughout the world who donate computer power to search astronomical data for signs of life. GREGORY KATZ (AP)

But in the age of selfies, the sisters are attracting a lot of attention, so much so that candidates arrive in the state ready for their closeups. It started July 2, when Emma, 15, snapped a photo of herself with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, shown above. It expanded from there. The sisters are least happy with their picture with former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, because he’s not looking at the camera. The most difficult was Dr. Ben Carson, who has a strong stance against selfies. But for Donald Trump, the sisters faced a clear walkway instead of having to push through crowds and found the candidate already waiting. (AP)

Dignitaries on Monday watch the flag-raising at the Cuban embassy in Washington, left, while protester Danilo Maldonado is arrested outside, right.
Cuba raises flag in D.C. After 54 years, the nation marks a new era by reopening its embassy in the U.S. POLITICS Cuba’s blue, red and whitestarred flag was hoisted Monday at the country’s embassy on 16th Street in Washington, signaling the start of a new post-Cold War era in U.S.-Cuba relations. In sweltering heat, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez presided over the flag-raising ceremony hours after full diplomatic relations with the U.S. were restored at the stroke of midnight. Rodriguez later met with Secretary of State John Kerry, becoming the first Cuban foreign minister to set foot in the U.S. State Department since 1958. “We celebrate this day — July 20 — as a time to start repairing what has been broken and opening what for too long has been closed,” Kerry said in Spanish at a joint news conference with Rodriguez. Kerry said he would visit Cuba on Aug. 14 to preside over a flag-raising ceremony at the U.S. Embassy in Havana. Despite the historic events, there remains a deep ideological
gulf between the nations and many issues still to resolve. Among them, thorny disputes such as Havana’s insistence on an end to the 53-year trade embargo and U.S. calls for Cuba to improve on human rights and democracy. Some U.S. lawmakers, including several prominent GOP presidential candidates, have vowed not to repeal the embargo and have pledged to roll back Obama’s moves on Cuba. At the news conference, Rodriguez complained about the U.S. continuing to retain the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba where the American military prison holds terror suspects. And, he demanded the U.S. end the embargo on Cuba and stay out of Cuba’s internal affairs. In a display of the divides, opposing groups gathered near the embassy during the flag raising. Some applauded the move as long overdue and a sign of progress. Others held up placards complaining that the diplomatic thaw will not improve Cuba’s human
rights record, which critics say includes continued repression and imprisonment of dissidents. The activist group Code Pink held pink umbrellas that spelled out “Amigos.” One protestor, whose shirt was covered in red paint, was removed from the scene by police. A group including Cuban exiles chanted: “Cuba without Castro.” They were shouted down by rivals yelling: “Viva Cuba” and “Viva Fidel.” The U.S. and Cuba severed diplomatic relations in 1961 and since the 1970s have been represented in each other’s capitals by limited-service interests sections. Their conversion to embassies signaled the end of policy approaches spawned and
hardened over the five decades since President John F. Kennedy first tangled with youthful revolutionary Fidel Castro over Soviet expansion in the Americas. Shortly after midnight, the Cuban Interests Section in Washington switched its Twitter account to say “embassy” and officially announced its presence with a flurry of Twitter posts. “Hola amigos!” one said. “Greetings from the U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba.” A newly prepared page for the U.S. Embassy in Havana popped up on the State Department website. Soon thereafter, the Cuban flag was added in the lobby of the State Department alongside those of other countries with which the U.S. has diplomatic ties. (AP/THE WASHINGTON POST)
Meanwhile, in Havana … In Havana on Monday, a carnival atmosphere reigned around the new U.S. Embassy overlooking Havana’s Malecon seaside promenade. By midmorning, the Cuban government had pulled back several of the eight or so security guards who had stood watch. A pair of officers stood on each corner around the building, smiling and wishing “buenos dias” to passers-by instead of casting stony glares. Curious Cubans clustered around the forest of flagpoles at the front of the embassy, snapping photos as U.S. tourists posed for selfies in front of the building. (AP)

What Trump did while McCain was a POW In the spring of 1968,Donald Trump had it good. He was 21 years old and handsome with a full head of hair. He avoided the Vietnam War draft on his way to earning an Ivy League degree. He was fond of fancy dinners, beautiful women and outrageous clubs. Most important, he had a job in his father’s real estate company and a brain bursting with money-making ideas that would make him a billionaire. “When I graduated from college, I had a net worth of perhaps $200,000,” he said in his 1987 autobiography “Trump: The Art of the Deal,” written with Tony Schwartz. (That’s about $1.4 million in 2015 dollars.) More than 8,000 miles away, John McCain sat in a tiny, squalid North Vietnamese prison cell. The Navy pilot’s body was broken from a plane crash, starvation, botched operations and months of torture. As Trump was preparing to take Manhattan, McCain was trying to relearn how to walk. The stark contrast in their fortunes was thrown into sharp relief Saturday when Trump belittled McCain during a campaign speech in Iowa, saying McCain was not a war hero because he was captured. They may similarly embrace free enterprise, but when it comes to character, the two GOP presidential hopefuls could hardly be more different. MICHAEL E. MILLER AND FRED BARBASH

THREE POINTERS
Leaders can’t relax No first-place team had larger than a six-game lead in its division entering Monday. So which of the division leaders are most at risk of getting overtaken in the second half?
‘Normal guy’ steals the show Zach Johnson wins three-player playoff at British Open to capture second major GOLF Zach Johnson cradled the silver claret jug in his arms. Jordan Spieth let it slip through his fingers. Spieth was right where he wanted to be in his spirited bid to win the third leg of the Grand Slam — tied for the lead with two holes to go in the British Open, right after making a 50-foot birdie putt that made it feel as though he were destined to win at St. Andrews for his third straight major. And he was still there at the very end Monday, but only as a spectator. The slam gone, Spieth graciously returned to the steps of the Royal & Ancient clubhouse to watch Johnson finish off a sterling performance of his own. Johnson rolled in a 30-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole that got him into a three-man playoff, and he outlasted Louis Oosthuizen and Marc Leishman to win the British Open. When he won the Masters in 2007, Johnson described himself
as a “normal guy” from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. And now? “I’m a normal guy from Cedar Rapids ... with a green jacket that has something that most guys don’t get to drink out of right now,” Johnson said, smiling as he looked at golf’s oldest trophy with his name etched alongside most of the game’s greatest players. Johnson now has two majors among his 12 PGA Tour victories, an astounding record and a reminder that a good wedge game and a putter can still go a long way in this era of power. Johnson was in tears when he was interviewed off the green. “I’m grateful. I’m humbled. I’m honored,” Johnson said. “This is the birthplace of the game, and that jug means so much in sports.” On a tense afternoon of shadows and showers on the Old Course, Johnson closed with a 6-under 66. No Grand Slam for Spieth, but Serena still has a shot One week after Serena Williams won Wimbledon to maintain her chance to win her sport’s Grand Slam, Jordan Spieth came up short at the British Open, spoiling his shot at winning all four majors this year. In tennis, three women have accomplished the feat, most recently Steffi Graf in 1988. No golfer in the modern era has done it; Spieth was hoping to be the first player since Ben Hogan in 1953 to win the Masters, U.S. Open and British Open in the same year. If there’s going to be a 2015 Grand Slam winner, it’s up to Williams in six weeks at the U.S. Open. (THE WASHINGTON POST)

Oosthuizen made a 10foot par putt on No. 17 to stay one shot behind, and he delivered a clutch moment of his own with a wedge to 5 feet for birdie and a 69 to join the playoff. It was the first British Open to end on a Monday since 1988, the result of a brief rain delay Friday morning and a 10½-hour wind delay on Saturday. But what
a show. With 14 players separated by three shots, no one seized control the entire day. Eight players had at least a share of the lead at one point. Most of them fell away. Spieth kept a golfing nation in suspense until the very end. Now, he goes to the PGA Championship with a tiny piece of history left to chase. Tiger Woods in 2000 and Ben Hogan in 1953 are the only other players to win three majors in a year, and no one has ever swept the three American majors. DOUG FERGUSON (AP)

FIFA vote to be held Feb. 26 Blatter says he won’t step down until next president is elected SOCCER Sepp Blatter will stay in control of world soccer for seven more months after resisting calls to step down immediately ahead of a presidential election, which FIFA decided Monday will be Feb. 26. Jolted by dual American and Swiss criminal investigations into soccer corruption, Blatter suddenly announced four days
after being elected for a fifth term that he would leave FIFA. “It was not only the pressure of any authorities ... it was also the pressure of political interference and also the pressure of you, media,” Blatter said Monday in Zurich. “I had to do something very special and I did it. In footballing terms, I kicked the ball out of the field to stop something.” FIFA’s executive committee decided at a meeting Monday on the February election date and Blatter ended weeks of uncertainty by insisting he would not perform one of his renowned
about-turns by in fact being a candidate. “On the 26th of February FIFA will have a new president,” Blatter said. “I cannot be the new president because I am the old president.” The 79-year-old Blatter, who first joined FIFA 40 years ago, has held onto the most powerful job in world soccer since 1998. While Blatter said he felt “regret” about the crises, he insisted he would not be “abandoning” the presidency until a successor is elected by the 209 members. GRAHAM DUNBAR AND ROB HARRIS (AP)

For Oubre, Vegas was all about hits, misses WIZARDS Kelly Oubre Jr.’s return to Las Vegas, where he spent his senior year of high school at Findlay Prep, did not include much downtime. Over six summer league games, Oubre showed flashes of why the Wizards moved up four spots to take him in last month’s NBA draft, and also offered reminders of his shortcomings. Oubre gave his overall performance “a C-plus” after averaging 16.8 points on 38.4 percent shooting to go with 5.7 rebounds. In Game 1, he had 20 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to the Suns. But he shot just 30.7 percent (16 of 52) from the field over the next four contests and didn’t record an assist until Washington’s third game. “This week I was kind of hellbent on trying to get to the rack, trying to do my strong suits, but sometimes I got to sacrifice for the team and make the extra pass,” Oubre said. “You know, just being the best team player I can be. That kind of opened up my eyes this week, so I’ll take that away from summer league and just get better for sure.” Frustrated by his shooting woes in Washington’s first five

Tulsa Shock majority owner Bill Cameron announced plans Monday to move the WNBA franchise to the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The Shock (10-7) are having their best year since moving from Detroit for the 2010 season. Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett had sent letters to Cameron and the league telling them he’d hoped the team would stay. (AP)

games, he spent three nights honing his craft with his trainer Drew Hanlen. The extra work produced Oubre’s best effort: a game-high 30 points in Washington’s 97-89 victory over the Nuggets in a consolation contest Friday. Oubre shot 9-for-14 from the field and inflicted the bulk of his damage from beyond the arc. Entering the night, he had made just three of his 25 3-point attempts. But after the extra work, the 6-foot-7 swingman
made 5-for-7 from beyond the arc. “I know I’m a shooter,” he said. Next up for Oubre is more time in the gym in D.C. with Wizards staff members. The objective is to improve his jump shooting, stamina and ballhandling. “This is going to be a long season and it’s going to be a rude awakening for me,” Oubre said. “But I still got to stay in shape. I still got to make sure I’m doing stuff that’s going to get me where I got to be in the future.” JORGE CASTILLO (THE WASHINGTON POST)

Flywheel’s cycling studio took over the former Visions cinema space in Dupont Circle.
STUDIES SHOW...
Moving at the movies Gyms are getting creative with their real estate choices and retrofitting theaters LOCATIONS The marquee sign that once listed showtimes at the Visions cinema in Dupont Circle now heralds the indoor cycling club Flywheel. The old concession stand has been repurposed into a front desk, while the mezzanine has been transformed into a fitness studio complete with floor-to-ceiling mirrors. As the District continues to attract an array of fitness studios and health clubs, new entrants are getting creative with their real estate choices. High ceilings and open space are basic requirements for most boutique studios and gyms, the kind of features that can be difficult to find in the city center. But with a little retrofitting and a lot of vision, movie theaters can be perfect. We’re not talking big-box multiplexes, but the kind of one- or two-screen theaters that show art-house films, documentaries or classic cinema. It has been about four months
since Flywheel opened at 1927 Florida Ave. NW. The District studio features 63 bikes on stadium-style tiers that let everyone see the instructor. “Our studios always feature stadium-style seating, so you almost feel like you’re in a theater,” said Alana Radmin, Flywheel’s vice president of public relations. “The curved space of the theater lends itself really well to that setup. In other places we have to build that, but here we were able to work with the space.” Radmin said the mezzanine level of the old theater proved to be a great space to teach Flybarre, a body-sculpting class that incorporates elements of Pilates, ballet-inspired barre and strength training. Flywheel sells its branded gear in the old box office. There is even space carved out for a juice bar. “There is no downside to the space,” Tracy McIntosh, vice president of real estate for the Flywheel chain, said. “It’s a first

It really lends itself to boutique fitness.” Gyms need proper plumbing for showers, flooring that can sustain the weight of heavy exercise equipment, soundproofing and enough space for multiple classes. It’s no wonder they flock to the suburbs for sprawling spaces. Take Crunch, a gym with locations in former movie theaters in Chevy Chase and Tysons Corner. Brothers John and Kirk Galiani,
whose company, US Fitness, operates the gyms in the region, grew up in Northern Virginia and have a nostalgic connection to the former Tysons Cinema space, according to Kristy Byrd, general manager of the Crunch in Chevy Chase. “They went to movies in Tysons Corner and remember seeing ‘Jaws’ at the theater; now they’re operating a health club out of the space,” she said. The Chevy Chase location is housed in the former Loews Cinema 1, a 20,000-square-foot space doors away from the Friendship Heights metro. Byrd said some local members who remember the old movie theater marvel at its transformation. “There is an architectural component that makes these spaces unique and cool, but also there is that whole sense of history and being a part of a longstanding community,” she said. Why you never can eat just one Finally, there’s a scientific reason behind why you can never chow down on just one fry, doughnut or potato chip. According to research from the University of Georgia, eating high-fat foods changes the population of bacteria in our digestive tracts, which reorganizes our brain circuits to make it nearly impossible to detect if we are full. Study co-author Krzysztof Czaja says that when you introduce a high-fat diet to the body, changes happen in the gut, including sensitive bacteria dying off or vanishing, and bacteria overpopulating the area, which results in inflammation and miscommunication with the brain. He’s keeping her all to himself Q. My 18-year-old gave birth

four months ago and moved in with her boyfriend. He is isolating and reclusive, and we never see the baby on weekends. The day of the birth he told my daughter he didn’t want anyone in there but him. We are outraged he has so much control over her. She has no friends. She wants to go to nursing school in August, and I have a sick feeling he is going to be possessive and jealous and ruin it for her. SICK IN PA
DR. ANDREA BONIOR | BAGGAGE CHECK
The radio silence is deafening Q. I’ve been dating a guy for seven weeks and I thought things were going well. We are both 27, so past being an adolescent (I would hope). He just spent a week at the beach with his family, and since then has been very short and unresponsive in his texts. I have called him a few times, and he has not answered. We were planning to go to a barbecue, and he’s not responding about plans. I’m worried that maybe he’s going through something, and I don’t know how to approach it. WONDERING I am sorry. This doesn’t look good. And no, he’s not laid up in a body cast from skimboarding gone awry — he’s purposely distancing himself from you. He is likely taking the coward’s way out and fading out of your relationship, which makes me hope you can come to understand that you deserve better.
It’s true that something could be going on independent of you that is throwing him for a loop, temporarily silencing him. But if he can’t bring himself to talk to you about it, or doesn’t respect you enough to clue you in on what’s happening, that seems a pretty bad prognosis as well.
Your concern is well-founded, as your daughter’s boyfriend’s desire to isolate her and the baby is a classic alarm bell of controlling behavior. The fact that she doesn’t have other friends is probably the most ominous sign of all. Be there, at all costs, for your daughter. Build a relationship with her child, and persist in showing your love and support in any way you can. Be the consistent reminder of her worth and potential and her ties to those who love her. But don’t attack him to her, which could drive her away further — be the positive, unwavering alternative to him and show, don’t tell. And if things get ugly, check out thehotline.org for more support. Send your questions for Baggage Check to Dr. Andrea Bonior at baggage@ wpost.com. Andrea is a local clinical psychologist and author of the book “The Friendship Fix” (friendshipfix.com).

The stars that got aboard ‘Trainwreck’ The casting of “Trainwreck” is bizarre and brilliant. LeBron James doing comedy? Bill Hader as a romantic lead? It transforms how we look at these actors and athletes. Here’s who benefitted from the “Trainwreck” effect. STEPHANIE MERRY (THE WASHINGTON POST)
Must Be: • Born in Africa • 18-65 years old • Requires 3 visits • Compensation provided • Refer to study # 99-DK-0002
Bill Hader BEFORE: That guy who plays Stefon. AFTER: A romantic lead. The “Saturday Night Live” alum has been inching into the movie world in indie movies. Still, his role here seems odd at first. He looks like a normal human rather than a flawless A-lister. But he owns the part of Amy’s (Amy Schumer) perfect foil, a good-guy doctor.
LeBron James
Please call (301) 402-7119 • http://clinicaltrials.gov Department of Health and Human Services • National Institutes of Health • National Institute of Diabetes & Digestive & Kidney Diseases
BEFORE: The face of the NBA. AFTER: A comedic actor. James’ isn’t a cameo role as the stereotypical best friend; he’s a well-drawn character in his own right. He’s hilariously frugal, overprotective, and somehow does it all without sounding distractingly stilted. Is a LeBron-starring movie up next?
John Cena
FEDERAL WOMEN
BEFORE: A less green Incredible Hulk. AFTER: An actor willing to do anything in the name of comedy. The wrestler suffers through an attempt at talking dirty in the bedroom (“There’s no I in team,” he tries) and has a scene in which he wears nothing but a hand towel. So now we know Cena can do comedy — and that he’s curiously hairless.
ST U DY
An NIH study is recruiting healthy overweight Black (African & AfricanAmerican) and White federally employed women to understand how to prevent diabetes and heart disease.
Amar’e Stoudemire BEFORE: A Miami Heat power forward. AFTER: A pratfall guy. Stoudemire has a smaller role than James, but he might be the better actor. He and Hader have a nice, natural rapport. And one of Stoudemire’s scenes ends with him ripping out an IV and running away from Hader’s character only to slip and fall — all 6 feet and 10 inches of him.
Requirements: • Federal employee or contractor • Overweight, Non-diabetic • 25-50 years old • Compensation provided

The first thing you’ll notice about Swinton (if you recognize her at all) is that the usually bare-faced actress has piled on the makeup for her role as a crass editor. Swinton told TooFab the look she was going for was “Tandoori tan.” Who knew Swinton could be so … normal?

Demi Moore in ‘shock’ after man drowns in her pool
Gawker editors resign after story’s removal
Demi Moore said she is stunned by the death of a 21-year-old man Sunday in the pool at her Los Angeles home. “I am in absolute shock,” the actress said in a statement. “I was out of the country traveling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news.” Moore said the death, which occurred at a party held by her assistant, was an “unthinkable tragedy, and my heart goes out to this young man’s family.” The man, Edenilson Steven Valle, had gone missing for 10 or 15 minutes before his friends found him floating in the deep end of the pool. Gawker Media executive editor Tommy Craggs and Gawker.com editor-in-chief Max Read will resign from their positions, Gawker reported Monday. The news comes days after the site published and then removed a widely condemned post alleging that Conde Nast CFO David Geithner had tried to hire a male escort. The editorial side of Gawker reacted publicly to what some characterized as a decision from the business side of the company’s managing partnership over the objections of its editorial leadership. “Here’s Sepp Blatter trying to make it look like he’s never had a money shower before”
“All she did was self-identify as black. I can think of worse things … like actually practicing racism.” COMMENTER THE NYCEO AT NYDAILYNEWS.COM responds to a Vanity
Fair interview with Rachel Dolezal, the former head of the Spokane, Wash., NAACP, in which she revealed she’s working as a hairstylist specializing in weaves and braids after being removed from her post. Dolezal was embroiled in controversy after it was revealed that she is actually white. She also lost her job as an African studies professor amid the June uproar.
@FREDDIECAMPION reacts to an intruder at a
FIFA news conference on Monday who hurled fistfuls of cash at the organization’s embattled president. Blatter, who was forced to step down as FIFA president after a sweeping corruption scandal, played it cool as the money came raining down on him. The prankster was British comedian Simon Brodkin, who most recently made headlines for crashing Kanye West’s Glastonbury set.
“For a company that promotes equal rights, you would expect Target to refuse to sell a shirt that says ‘trophy’ to young women.” @MEETINGSARAH comments on a shirt for
sale in Target’s junior section. Many people were outraged by the message being aimed at women. Commenters flooded Target with pleas to remove the shirt from its stores and website. As of Monday afternoon, however, Target had yet to pull the shirt — though it was responding to angry Facebook posts with apologizes for causing any offense.
“Frank Ocean about to lose a fan, I don’t got time for broken promises. Where is the album?” @TIARAMVRIE joins other fans wondering where Frank Ocean’s sophomore album is. In a cryptic tumblr post earlier this year, the artist hashtagged the date #July2015, #Issue1 and #Album3. The Internet took this to mean the album would be released on July 20. When Monday rolled around and no album was released, fans went crazy, quickly pointing out that only a week remains in July. Ocean hasn’t released new music since 2012.

CANCER (June 21-July 22) Ignore warnings at your own risk. Focus on doing things the way they’re supposed to be done, even if you have to do them the hard way. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) Others are paying more attention to the signs you are being sent than you are. What are you waiting for? VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) You’ll have the chance to bring others together under a common banner. What you are going for can surely change things for the better. LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) You may think a change of environment will increase productivity, but in fact, it may only serve to increase stress. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) A promise of something better just around the corner may keep you going after you would normally call it quits. PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20) You may feel as though you are going to trip yourself up at any moment, but in fact, you are more balanced than you have ever been. Maroon 5 canceled its two September concerts in China, possibly due to a now-deleted tweet sent by keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, the BBC reported. The tweet noted that Carmichael “sang happy birthday to his holiness” — i.e. the Dalai Lama, which may have angered Chinese authorities. The band, fronted by Adam Levine, above, hasn’t commented. You’re fortunate because you’re in a position to be able to look after the baby and not worry too much about that,’ ” Cowell said. To One Direction fans taking the news badly, Cowell said, “He didn’t kill anyone. He got someone pregnant.” (EXPRESS)

The news was confirmed in a statement Monday to The Associated Press, issued by their representatives. “This is not the future we envisioned,” the former couple said. “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.
