The Chief monitors, analyzes, and reviews utility companies’ plans, proposals, designs, construction and maintenance of infrastructure and system upgrades and replacement, including the Mayor’s Task Force on proposed undergrounding of electrical distribution systems. Represents the Commission in meetings of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners. Supervises a staff of gas, electrical, civil, and general engineers and a program assistant and reviews their work projects for consistency with agency policies, regulations, and contracts and professional engineering standards.
