Four More Sore Years If this presidential inauguration is anything like the one four years ago, it’ll involve lots of standing on the Mall — and in line at Ben’s Chili Bowl. Want more exercise this time? Try one of these events before the swearing-in. (In a nod to democracy, all are open to the public.)

The Inaugural Workout Results Gym, 315 G St. SE; Sat., 2-5 p.m.; $40; 202-234-5678; to sign up, email Harolds@resultsthegym.com

“There are balls, parties and a parade. There’s so much energy in the city. We need a workout,” Results Gym’s Harold Sanco realized back in 2009. That’s why Clay Grant and Calvin Wiley, Sanco’s two favorite New York-based fitness instructors, will be among the thousands of people descending on Washington this weekend. House’s Christmas in Washington benefit.) Expect an appearance by the singer Mya — of “Ghetto Superstar” fame — and a whole lot of ladies showing off their Michelle Obama arms. Stick around for afterparty nibbles from Energy Kitchen and low-calorie Bacardi cocktails.

All the state societies have balls, so why not the state of well-being? The D.C. Area Yoga Community, YogaVotes and Off the Mat and Into the World are inviting yogis to “set a positive intention for the new presidential term” by partaking in a two-hour practice led by Faith Hunter, owner of Embrace studio in Adams Morgan. That’ll be followed by a vegetarian meal courtesy of D.C. Central Kitchen, as well as live music, meditation and chanting. VICK Y HALLET T (E XPRESS)
