 When not hosting Columbus Blue Jackets hockey games, Nationwide Arena welcomes worldclass musical acts, including One Direction on June 18 and Justin Bieber on July 12.  Value City Arena, home court of Ohio State’s basketball teams, doubles as a rock stage. Bruno Mars performs on July 10 and Big Time Rush and Victoria Justice perform on Aug. 6.  Newport Music Hall, located across from Ohio State’s campus, is known as the nation’s “longest continually running rock club.” Summer shows include Atlas Genius on June 7 and Say Anything on June 28.  Indoor-outdoor venue Lifestyle Communities Pavilion (known simply as “The LC” to locals), is located in the Arena

District. This summer it hosts O.A.R. on July 6. More rock entertainment can be found next door at The Basement, where up-andcoming bands perform. Up the street, join an interactive sing-along at dueling piano bar The Big Bang.  Get into the true spirit of summertime when Kenny Chesney performs at Crew Stadium on June 29.  The Wexner Center for the Arts also offers a packed performance schedule and hosts The National on June 15 at The LC and Bonnie “Prince” Billy and Dawn McCarthy at the Wexner’s performance space on Aug. 2.  Catch more music at the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival, June 14-16, the Jazz & Rib Fest, July 19-21, and Festival Latino, Aug. 10-11.
