This exciting educational exhibit shows visitors just how bright our friends in the animal kingdom can be. Using a variety of videos, games and displays, you’ll see how animals’ environments have shaped their thinking abilities and explore evolutionary links between humans and animals. COSI, 333 W. Internationally recognized British artist Bruce Munro will open his third U.S. exhibition at Franklin Park Conservatory. Ten large-scale lighting installations will accompany gallery works, including pieces never before seen in the nation. The exhibit will transform the Conservatory’s indoor biomes and outdoor courtyards into an enchanting evening experience. Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, 1777 E. Following on its inaugural success in 2012, this unique festival will once again showcase seasoned and rising filmmakers and extraordinary work from around the world. This interdisciplinary exhibition explores contemporary art through the lens of the blues and blues aesthetics. Columbus’ renowned Wexner Center for the Arts is the only Midwest stop for the exhibit, which features works from more than 40 artists, including William Eggleston and Zoe Leonard, as well as materials from music and popular entertainment. Letting curiosity and inquiry be their guides, visitors explore familiar buildings and locales from the Curious George™ book series and television show. Watch 30 of North America’s top professional riders compete in this internationally sanctioned show-jumping grand prix at the Wexner residence in New Albany. Shadowbox Live presents its annual fourday festival of comedy and music. Hosted by original “Saturday Night Live” cast member Garrett Morris, the popular event features the Shadowbox Live Sketch Comedy Competition, a stand-up competition, live local music and more. Each autumn, young and old flock to Columbus to polka, eat, drink and be merry at this exhilarating celebration of German heritage. Don’t miss WaterFire, when floating bonfires illuminate the Scioto River downtown while local, regional and national performing artists entertain with live music.
