What a summer! Who can explain the weather and who can explain all the changes to the offshore suppliers. This year has seen: Florexpo (our Suntory supplier) end a long relationship with McGregor, Athena in Brazil end its exclusive relationship with GroLink, and the parent company for Fides has purchased Oro Farms in Guatemala. It is difficult to know how this will effect supply this next year but PSI and Syngenta, our primary suppliers, have not had any significant production changes this year. One of the benefits is that now that Fides and Oro are combined, Malmborg’s now has better access to items that were only available from Oro. We have added the New Guinea Sunpatiens, Petchoas, Glow Petunias, Euphorbia, and Noa Calibrachoas. There are assorted other new items from different vendors. Please, take a moment and look through the front section of the catalog to see the new additions. Our offering list is approximately 1000 items for the 2012 season. There are many items to choose from and hopefully you will find the products that you are looking to grow. We have added some additional space this summer to better manage the rooted cuttings. The peak season continues to become more challenging to manage and with the additional space we will be able to better serve our customers during the busy time. Transportation continues to be a topic of concern for everyone. Airlines are reducing service levels to cities and with fuel costs, prices are not likely to decrease this coming year. Please consider the delivery program that Malmborg’s Greenhouse has in partnership with Wagner’s Greenhouse. Details are in the back of the catalog. ORDER INFORMATION: Our minimum order is two boxes of any combination of product per shipment. There is a $20.00 additional charge for any order under minimum. See ‘PACKAGING’ on the next page for quantities of plants per box. Order acknowledgments will be provided for each order booked and must be reviewed by the broker for accuracy. Malmborg’s will not accept liability for error on any order or portion of an order shipped as acknowledged. Order revisions or cancellations will be accepted up to seven weeks prior to the scheduled ship date. Brokers who revise or change orders within seven weeks of shipment will be expected to resell or otherwise dispose of the product at their cost. CLAIMS: Any shipping claims must be filed with the broker and reported to Malmborg’s within 48 hours of receipt of the shipment. All quality claims must be filed with the broker and reported to Malmborg’s with 14 days of receipt of the shipment. WARRANTY/LIABILITY: Malmborg’s warrants that the plants are viable. There are no additional warranties, either expressed or implied. Malmborg’s liability is limited to the purchase price of the plants. VOLUME PRICING: Volume discounts are based on the quantity of plants shipped to each customer/broker(Ship-to) for the entire prior liner season(Poinsettias, Spring liners, Mums, and Asters are included). Number of Plants Discount Percentage Less than 3000 Volume 1 3000 to 9999 Volume 2 10000 to 29999 Volume 3 30000 to 74999 Volume 4 75000 to 199000 Volume 5 200000 and more Volume 6 These discounts apply to the rooted cutting price and not to labels, royalties, freight, or winter pack box charges. RECEIVABLE TERMS: Our terms are Net 30 days from our invoice date. A service charge of 1.5% per month (18%APR) is applied to all past due accounts. PLANT PATENT PROTECTION: Propagation of patented plant varieties is prohibited without a license. LABELS: WE WILL PROVIDE ONE LABEL FOR EACH PLANT PURCHASED, whether or not the plant is patented. You can limit the number of labels on an order to a ratio of the number of plants ordered. The minimum ratio is 1 label for 5 plants (in multiples of 25 labels) for patented varieties and zero for non-patented varieties. LABELS: The label is included in the price. The customer will automatically receive one label per plant unless requested otherwise. If requesting a reduction in labels, the label cost will then be deducted from the invoice at a rate of $.03 per label. PACKAGING and AVAILABILITY PERIOD: Preforma 26 strip is sold as 25. They are shipped in multiples of 100. The new packaging setup will allow us to put either 100 , 200, or 300 in a box. That determination will depend on the product size at shipping time. Most all products in the Preforma 26 strip will be shipped 300 in a box. A minimum order will be 400 plants if only the Preforma 26 strip is ordered. Once 400 plants are ordered, then the increments will be every 100 plants for even boxing for shipping freight. Please remember that for customers either picking up product or having it delivered by Malmborg’s/Wagner’s, those orders do not have to be multiples of 100. Ellepot 32, Ellepot 50, and standard 50 tray is shipped in multiples of two trays. Each box contains two trays of any of these trays listed. These cannot be combined in the boxes with the Preforma 26 strip. A minimum order if only of these trays would be 4 trays to fill two boxes. When combined with other items for even boxing for freight, every order must have increments of two trays of any of the items in these tray categories. What would be a minimum order when combining different trays? If you have two trays of either the 32 or 50 trays, then you would need 8 strips (200 plants) of the Preforma 26.

Federal Express shipments are shipped second day unless requested otherwise. Malmborg’s will not be held responsible for damage caused to plants during transit. If the number of boxes for a Federal Express shipment is more then 5 boxes, it may be shipped Fed-Ex First Freight depending on the level of service to the area. Shipping instructions must be submitted with your order. Airline shipments are made collect to the customer via your choice of available carriers. There is a winter pack (Styrofoam lining of box) charge of $4.00 per box for shipments that require cold protection. This will occur from week 1 through approximately week 13 for those orders that are shipped either Fed-Ex or Air.
Delivery cost is based on volume (Vol. 1: 1-24 boxes, Vol. 2: 25 or more boxes) and Delivery Zone (See Table). Please contact your sales representative for a delivery estimate. All truck schedules are subject to delivery volume per area per week.
