EL RIAD BIG BAND

Greetings. This is the quiet time of year for the Big Band. We have three Dance Club nights scheduled for this year, otherwise several of our members area still hibernating!!!

“Last Call” is busy booking summer “gigs” and practicing on some new material to be added to our set lists. We had a great year in 2022 and looking forward to a busier and better year in 2023. One of the highlights for this year: We have partnered with Lloyd Companies to help raise money for the Children’s Transportation Fund. Lloyd Companies has offered to match our tip jar contributions, “dollar for dollar” up to $5,000!!! That means we will have a great check to present to the Pote at the Fall Ceremonial. We are excited!

We have several repeat performances this year and some new ones. We are scheduling another “Thursday Night Live” in Watertown. We are hoping for a cooler than 100 degree night like last year! We are booked again this year for the annual Hot Summer Nights, at the W.H. Lyons fairgrounds, sponsored by the Sioux Falls Corvette Club and booked again for Nybergs Ace Car Show in July. Mark your calendars for Monday nights at McKennan Park, we will play again this year on Monday July 17. We have been asked to play for the Hangar Dance for the Air Guard Air Show in July as well. We will be appearing at the Barefoot Bar, in Okoboji again on Labor Day and will be the featured entertainment at the joint Lincoln/Washington High 1973 Class Reunion at the Shrine in September.
