It’s not about being seen, but being seen in the right way. Your stand space is booked, and all that remains now is to make the most of your Attendance. A visible stand that attracts the public is obviously important, but attracting people’s attention isn’t actually hard. The hard bit is being seen in the right way. A stand should clarify the exhibitor’s offering, engender sympathy and firmly catch the visitor’s eye. All our years on the exhibition floor have taught us a great deal about what a good stand needs. It’s no surprise that a lot of companies let us do all the work, whether using standard modules or building a new stand from scratch. We have everything that’s needed in stock. Our fitters build, assemble, organize the technology and connect the stand up to the power system, while our graphics department produces images and signs. All you, the exhibitor, need to do is turn up on day one of the fair and devote all your time to what you do best: take care of business. After the show we dismantle the stand quickly and efficiently, and all you need to take away are your memories of a successful event. STAND SYSTEM WOOD Our Wood stand system is made of particle boards measuring w1000xh2500x22 mm, in a white standard version. We erect partitions between stands unless you specifically request otherwise. Please inform us of this in the Order and Price List. The wall modules are also available painted in a range of standard colours, or to a shade of your choice. We can enhance the appearance of your stand by taping and painting the joins between wall sections. Please order through Exhibitor Service. You can even fix small items to the walls using nails or screws. Any necessary restoration costs for damage, such as bracket removal, leftover tape, drill and screw holes and similar will be charged according to the price list. Restoration of walls painted by the exhibitor will also be charged. For further information, please contact Stand Service.

Here are a couple of examples of how you can calculate how much power you need.
Example 1 If you have 10 x 50 Watt lights and 10 x 100 Watt lights in your stand, the total is 1500 W. Divide 1500 W by 230 Volts to find the amperage, 6.52. So in this case 1-phase 10 A will provide enough energy for your lighting and some extra. Example 2 If you have 10 x 10 Watt lights and 10 x 1500 Watt lights on a demonstration product which uses 10000 Watt, the total is 26000 Watts/230V = 113.04 amperes. You will need to order 3-phase 64 A from the fair = 192 amperes.
This page shows the couplings we use for water and air systems. We use a standard automatic coupling, and both air and water are supplied through the same connection. Prepare your own equipment with corresponding couplings for speed and efficiency, but remember we can always help out if you need us. Our drainage installation is an open vessel type with an automatic pump unit. We pump the water to the ceiling in each exhibition hall, so there are some restrictions on the tallest sections. Our hosts and hostesses are highly qualified and can for example provide interpretation services, demonstrate products and services, and register visitors. Needless to say they can also carry out more basic tasks such as handing out sales material, serving refreshments and other duties. Specify your requirements and we’ll take care of the service. We place rigorous demands on work ability and social skills. All hosts/hostesses have knowledge of Swedish and English, and many have other languages as well. All our personnel have a pleasant, professional approach. Press Elmia often receives inquiries about new products being displayed at the fair – so send press information in plenty of time. Elmia has a Press Service and during most fairs there is a staffed press room which is the natural meeting-place and work room for journalists visiting the fair. Restaurants Elmia Fair Restaurants have created a “public-free” zone for you by ensuring there is virtually always one restaurant open exclusively to exhibitors. It’s up to you whether you enjoy a full lunch or just a cup of coffee. If for any reason you are unable to take a lunch break, we can deliver carefully composed lunchboxes direct to your stand. If you wish to buy your customers a meal and a drink, we recommend our à la carte restaurant, where you can nurture your business relations in cosy, relaxing surroundings. Book a table in good time! The restaurant locations, opening times and menus vary from one event to the next. You can even charge all your restaurant purchases to your stand for payment after the fair if you wish. Freight delivery before the fair Unloading takes place automatically on arrival at the fair site, as per price list. Marking labels are available at the information desk in Lobby North/ South. The empty packaging will be returned to you after the fair, once the gangway carpets have been removed. Storage of empty packaging is charged as per the price list. Important things to remember after the fair Exhibitors may only move out once the gangway carpets have been removed. Each consignment must be clearly marked, and goods waybill completed showing who is paying for the freight and the shipping company being used. Shipping should be booked direct with the shipping company. Leave the consignment(s) at your stand.

TeCnical Information Responsibility The exhibitor is responsible for all equipment, whether owned or hired, during the period of the fair. Insurance can be arranged via Elmia. For more detailed information, see the Exhibitor Guide.
Loudspeakers Only carpet tape is permitted when laying carpets. All tape must be removed after the fair. The flooring must not be painted or damaged in any other way. Restoration costs will be charged for any damage to flooring.
Stand construction waste Elmia separates waste at source. Exhibitors and stand builders must transport and separate leftover material from construction and dismantling into the designated containers. Gangways must not be blocked. See the Exhibitor Guide for further information.
Identification Photo identification is required to collect exhibition goods. Any agents must have written authority.
Decorative and stand materials The stand’s walls and ceiling must be made of nonflammable materials of at least class 111, i.e. no lower than wood. Wood fibreboard, for example, is approved. Ceilings for covered or closed stands larger than 30 m2 must be fitted with a fire alarm. Decorative materials such as hangings, textiles used as a ceiling or wall covering must be treated with fire-protection agents or made of wool or fibreglass in accordance with Swedish fire authority rules. This means that untreated materials such as cardboard, paper, polystyrene, plastic or similar cannot be used as a construction or decorative material. Wrapping and any other combustible packaging material must be stored in the designated place. Rules regarding electricity Power distribution units must not be blocked. Stand frames of metal, armatures and utility goods of conductive material must be earthed. All electrical installation must be according to prevailing heavy current regulations. Elmia now has permission from the Swedish National Board for Industrial and Technical Development (NUTEK) to wire portable units by cables and plugs without the restrictions of official heavy current regulations (Starkströmsföreskrifterna) Section 52, Point 521.4. A condition of this permission is that Elmia undertakes to check and rectify any faults in the portable units. Flammable and explosive goods Elmia must be informed in writing in plenty of time prior to the fair of any handling or storage of flammable liquids or gases. Specify the event name and stand number. Explosive or pyrotechnical items must not be used at or brought to Elmia, either indoors or outdoors, without obtaining written permission in advance. Flooring materials Only carpet tape is permitted when laying carpets. All tape must be removed after the fair. The flooring must not be painted or damaged in any other way. Restoration costs will be charged for any damage to flooring.

Stand construction Permission for two-level stand construction must be applied for in writing to Elmia three months prior to the fair. Permission for stand construction over 2.5 m must be applied for in writing to Elmia two months prior to the fair. An additional fee of SEK 5,000 will be charged for all construction, exposure and hanging of e.g. streamers, flags and signs over the maximum height of 2.5m. Own products in the stand (higher than 2.5 metres), or ceiling rigging for light mounting, is not covered by the term high construction/extended exposure. For more detailed information, see the Exhibitor Guide. Hanging rails Hanging rails may only be installed by Elmia’s personnel. Contact Exhibitor Service for approval of attachment points if other suspensions are to be used. Approved wire locks can be hired from the information desk. Transport service Transport in the exhibition area, lifting and forklift work is carried out by the transport service. Assignments are charged at the applicable rate Hot work Written permission from Elmia is required to carry out work such as welding, soldering, cutting, rotary cutting, drying, heating or work with an open flame.
