Project Statement
Client:
The Chicago Tribune.
Objective:
To create an illustration that is relevant to the article in the Chicago Tribune entitled “Football as we know it”. One should be able to look at the illustration before reading the article and have a general idea of what the article is about. An added bonus is that the reader will find the illustration interesting, and possibly re examine the illustration a number of times as he or she reads the editorial.
Problem:
The article is very serious so it is difficult to use an illustration that could be perceived as making light of the subject. To use bright colors and simply sum up the article visually. It will capture the reader’s attention and assist the article in telling the story.
