JK JK What is The Miracle League of Michigan? It’s hope, determination and a display of human spirit that is unequalled. And of course... there’s baseball. There is something special about playing baseball that lights up a youngster’s eyes, but for children and adults with special needs, that opportunity can often be difficult to achieve. The Miracle League of Michigan removes the barriers that keep children and adults with special needs off the baseball field and lets them experience the joy of America’s pastime. It is about making new friends, building self-esteem and being treated just like their able-bodied peers. To help the athletes, The Miracle League of Michigan uses a “buddy” system - pairing each player with an able-bodied peer. As a result, the parents, children and volunteers are brought together in a program that enriches the lives of those with disabilities.

JK JK With the help of The Miracle League of Michigan, children and adults with disabilities truly get the chance to feel like the champions they are. To ensure that Miracle Field in Southfield, the home of an inspirational baseball league like no other, is able to handle the continued growth we expect for the program, we need your help. Several improvements are needed to make the field an even more meaningful experience for those who attend and work the games each year. With your help, this Capital Campaign will build a bright future. We are raising $250,000 in order to make these improvements reality.
Money raised during our 2014 Capital Campaign would allow The Miracle League of Michigan to: Create a new building that combines modern restrooms with a larger, more permanent concession stand Add new handicap-accessible features to the restrooms Add shelter for players and fans in case of inclement weather General maintenance and repairs
