NEW EQUIPMENT FOR

DRY EYE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT At Visualiza we continue to grow in our services. Now in the private clinic we have a new generation equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of Dry Eye. The new equipment of new technology Me-check; IPL Eye-light and LLLT MY MASK-E of Espansione, will be able to give a better diagnosis and treatment for the most common pathologies of the anterior segment. To promote this new service we had an informative capsule in Guatevisión where we had the participation of Dr. Renato Papa, where he presented complete information on dry eye and also the new techniques of the service that is being provided in Visualiza.

NEW LABORATORY

EXPERIMENTAL SURGERY VISIT

DRA. GENA DAMENTO As part of the collaboration of our strategic partner SEVA towards Visualiza, we were pleased to have the visit of Dr. Gena Damento (SEVA Global Ophthalmology Fellow).

As part of the development of the medical staff, an experimental surgery laboratory was created where the clinic’s ophthalmologists can practice ophthalmic surgery in order to perfect surgical techniques and train new staff members.

During her visit, Dr. Damento was in different activities in a rotation in Visualiza’s clinics. She participated in operating rooms, accompanied us to departmental refractive days and visited our facilities in Petén and Chimaltenango. She also participated in several meetings with the Drop Free Study Research Project, along with Dr. Papa and Dr. Silva.

We welcome the new Medical Staff, Dr. Mardi Gomez, Dr. Javier De Leon, Dr. Mignalia Navarro and Dr. Esperanza Castillo who will join the Social Clinic, Hospital Vicent Pescatore and Quetzaltenango.

IMPROVEMENT IN OUR FACILITIES As part of our continuous improvement in our services, the Vincent Pescatore Hospital installed the new OCT equipment (5000 W/ Angioplex OCT angiography by Carl Zeiss), which will serve to provide a better ophthalmologic diagnosis of the anterior and posterior segment.

ADVOCACY FOR ACTION BREAKING THE BARRIERS IAPB-LATIN AMERICA Medical direction and executive direction at the IAPB Regional Meeting, at the Association for the Prevention of Blindness APEC, in Mexico City. Architect Juan Francisco Yee was a speaker at the conference Advocacy for Action and Dr. Lucia Silva participated and moderated the Activar strategy module.

VISUALIZA IN GUATEVISIÓN The marketing team through its continuous strategies and with the aim of continuing to publicize the image and services of the clinic, continues to develop advertising in various media, having presence both in the interior of the country and in the capital; we are currently in radio and television within the most important media, one of them being Guatevisión and Emisoras Unidas, thus achieving the expansion objectives that Visualiza has.

OUTREACH

ACTIVITIES

We continue taking visual health to all Guatemala, to continue fighting preventable blindness and reaching new places to give new hope to people who need it most in every corner of the country. During the month of June, our team together with promoters of each vision center carried out different community, departmental and business outreaches.

All of these sessions were carried out with the objective that characterizes Visualiza, to continue bringing eye health to people who need it and do not have the capacity to attend a primary health center.

At Visualiza we care about the personal and professional growth of our employees, so every month in the Human Resources department we elaborate a constant planning for the development of each person through trainings that help the improvement, strengthening and personal growth that is reflected in their job and in their team. EYEXCEL 2022. International Congress for Ophthalmologists, Administrators, Financial Managers and Operations Directors. Through this congress, the capacity of the associated hospitals was developed to launch and strengthen their training programs; and thus create efficient ophthalmic care teams.
