(Elementary School) Mondays, (No class May 27) 4 - 4:35 p.m. Children will strengthen their reading skills by reading aloud. Your child and his/her reading buddy will have fun reading books together! Reading partners provided by the library teen volunteers. For children who are beginning readers, ages 5 to 7.

*Craft Wars! (6-12 Year Olds)

Mondays, Mar. 4, 18; Apr. 1, 15, 29; May 13, 27 4 - 4:30 p.m. Crafters, join us and go head-to-head to create a craft in 30 minutes using surprise materials. Hope to see you there.

*Let’s Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Birthday! (Pre-school, Kindergarten)

Wednesday, Mar. 6 10:30 - 11:15 a.m. or 2 - 2:45 p.m. Join us as we celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday with a special program where stories will be performed, crafts will be done and fun will be had by all. See you there! Ages 2-5. Registration opens Feb. 20.

Cupcake Diaries Book Club

(6-12 Year Olds) Thursdays, Mar. 7; Apr. 4; May 2 4 - 4:45 p.m. Join us each month for discussion of the featured Cupcake Diaries title. As we book talk we will be trying out some new cupcake recipes. All supplies will be provided.

(Elementary School) Friday, Mar. 15 4 - 4:40 p.m. Put on your best face for this project! And have fun drawing your own portrait. Ages 5 to 12.

*Kids Comics Workshops with Rio Aubry Taylor (Elementary School)

Wednesdays, Mar. 20 – Apr. 17 4 - 5 p.m. Learn to make your own comics from start to finish with comics artist Rio Aubry Taylor.

Cascarón Hunt!

(Pre-school, 6-12 Year Olds) Tuesday, Mar. 26 Pre-school: 1 - 2 p.m.; 6-12 Year Olds: 4 - 5 p.m. Join us for activities and a Cascarón Hunt! Enjoy this tradition from Ms. Patty’s home town. I think you’ll agree it’s egg-cellent. Bring your basket and when a cascarón is found, the finder runs up to a friend and squishes it over his or her head.

*Superhero Series

(Elementary School) Thursdays, Mar. 28; Apr. 25; May 23 4 - 4:45 p.m. Join us as we celebrate some of our favorite superheroes. Each month we will focus on a different superhero, read some of our favorite comics and stories, learn about their origin and do superhero activities.

*Storytime and Gardening

(Pre-school, Kindergarten, Elementary School) Friday, Apr. 26 4 - 5 p.m. Saturday, May 18 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Kids, plant seeds and seedlings for this year’s vegetable garden, and enjoy a storytime. Ages 4 to 9.

El Dia de Los Niños Storytime
