Sex and the City 2, featuring Hamptons ladies Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon, had a strong opening weekend of $46.3 million. * * * Calvin Klein recently bought a six-bedroom, four-bathroom house in Bridgehampton for $2.15 million. The designer is also building a new home on the former site of Dragon’s Head in Southampton. * * * Tennis stars Andre Agassi, Monica Seles and Venus and Serena Williams came out to honor Nick Bollettieri in a celebration at the Ross School Tennis Center last weekend. * * * Dr. Stephen Leatherman, a.k.a. Dr. Beach, granted Southampton’s Coopers Beach the top spot in his 20th Annual Top 10 Beaches ranking. Main Beach in East Hampton came in at #5. * * * Hamptons resident Russell Simmons hosted a private benefit for Shine on Sierra Leone at his home in New York City last week. According to Simmons, guests included “200 beautiful girls and 100 of my richest friends.” * * * Bryan Greenberg, star of HBO’s “How to Make it in America,” swung by the Axe Lounge in Southampton last weekend. * * * Season two of “Royal Pains,” the hit USA show about a Hamptons concierge doctor, began this week. Fans can see cast members, including new addition Henry Winkler, rap about upcoming episodes at tvguidemagazine.com. * * * East Hampton’s Robert Stilin was included in Elle Décor’s A-list issue honoring the 25 interior designers who “define our world.” According to the article, he’s known for “carefully edited, serenely contemporary settings.” * * * Rumor has it that Southampton’s Howard Stern is still being considered to replace Simon Cowell on “American Idol.” Stern said last week that he’s a huge fan of the show, but that he doesn’t think this season was great and they need to “mix it up” and “make it a little more exciting.” * * * East Hampton resident Steven Spielberg joined Ron Meyer, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Jeff Zucker and Arnold Schwarzenegger last week at the re-opening of the Universal Studios back lot last week. It was destroyed by fire two years ago and now features four acres of film sets. * * * East Hampton’s Jerry Seinfeld appeared on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” last week and played a game called “The Housewives Ref” with host Andy Cohen. * * * East End artist Mym Tuma, who corresponded with and visited Georgia O’Keeffe from
