ralph Lauren is helping the East Hampton Historical Society save the historic Hedges Barn. The restored 18th century structure will serve as home base for Mulford Farm’s educational programming. The iconic fashion designer ralph Lauren launched a special East Hampton Historical collection of sweatshirts, T-shirts and accessories last week. The line can be found at the East Hampton Ralph Lauren store and at ralphlauren.com. Fifty percent of sales will benefit the Historical Society.
And the winners are: Southold resident Dr. Z. Micah Kaplan was awarded a United Hospital Fund Distinguished Trustee Award from Eastern Long Island Hospital. The award celebrates Kaplan’s commitment to nonprofit New York area hospitals. WordHampton Public Relations, an East Hampton based firm, received the Social Media Brand Builder Award from the Fair Media Council for work on the Lessing’s Weddings Facebook page. WordHampton specializes in lifestyle businesses and real estate throughout the New York metropolitan area. This year’s recipients of East End Women’s Network (EEWN) scholarships are Carolyn Carrera, Brittney Longley, and Cassandra Phillips. The presentation of the awards will take place at the EEWN meeting on June 18 at Hyatt Place in Riverhead.
