This spring, East Hamptonites and artists from the photography studio Coolife— Pauline Rochas, of the Rochas family fashion house, and Carole Beaupré—launched their first fragrance, Le Premier Parfum. The unisex scent blends seven raw essential oils, including sandalwood and patchouli, which are known for their ability to open the second chakra, that which is associated with sensuality. The limited edition of 500 bottles are available at Turpan in East Hampton and on bycoolife.com. Constructed in 1720, Home Sweet Home, which has been a museum since 1928, is re-opening its doors to the public once again. It underwent changes to make it less like a museum and more like the house it was during the turn of the last century, when Gustav and Hanna Buek lived there. Southampton Shop Hop is here! On “First Fridays” participating Southampton merchants will be giving 5 to 10% of proceeds to a local charity from sales made from 6–8 p.m. There will also be discounts and specials at restaurants and accommodations with a receipt from purchases made during the Shop Hop.
