Welcome back, Bill and Hillary Clinton! According to The New York Times, the former President and Secretary of State will return to the Hamptons for their summer vacation, and rent a home in Amagansett. The Clintons are no strangers to the area—last year Hillary reportedly worked on her memoir here while Bill celebrated his 67th birthday with famous South Forkers Jimmy Buffett and Paul McCartney.

Bay Street Theater has announced the starstudded cast of Conviction, the first production of their 2014 Mainstage season. The cast includes two stars of the Academy Awards Best Picture winner 12 Years a Slave—Garret Dillahunt, (also of television’s Raising Hope and Deadwood) and Sarah Paulson (also of TV’s American Horror Story). Rounding out the lineup are Elizabeth Reaser of the Twilight films, Brian Hutchinson of Broadway’s Man and Boy and Looped, and BroadwayWorld winner for Best Actor Daniel Burns. Conviction, by Carey Crim, will be directed by Bay Street Artistic Director Scott Schwartz. The play centers on a beloved husband, neighbor and teacher whose reputation is rocked by a student’s accusation that he behaved inappropriately. “He gets in trouble because of an accusation of sexual misconduct and it’s the fallout from that, especially among his family,” Crim says. “It’s he-said-she-said; it’s an issue that’s been tackled before, but I wanted to focus on what the accusation does to his family.” Conviction is a co-production by Bay Street Theater, the Rubicon Theatre in California, the Royal Manitoba Theatre of Canada and Dead Posh Productions in London, England. Conviction will run May 27 to June 15. Tickets go on sale May 15. Mainstage subscriptions are available now. The Mainstage season will continue with Tom Stoppard‘s Travesties starring Richard Kind from June 24 to July 30, and Adam Overett’s My Life Is a Musical from July 29 to August 31. Look for interviews with Bay Street stars in upcoming issues of Dan’s Papers.
