Spring is here when East End restaurants come out of hibernation and start gearing up for the summer season. Bostwick’s Chowder House (631-324-1111) in East Hampton opened on April 10. Leading into the season, they are serving lunch and dinner Thursday through Sunday, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Menu items include crowd favorites such as the blackened fish tacos; seafood pasta; baked stuffed clams; and the crab-stuffed flounder. 668 The Gig Shack (631-668-2727) in Montauk opened April 11 and is currently serving dinner, Friday through Sunday, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Menu items include spicy tuna tartar taquitos; black bean and corn quesadillas; blackened local fish montacos; and house-smoked, Hawaiian-style baby back ribs. The Clam Bar (631-267-6348) in Amagansett is currently open Friday through Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., weather dependent. Returning menu highlights include clam chowder; crab cakes; lobster salad roll; and fried oysters with fries. And finally, Harbor Bistro (631-324-7300) in East Hampton kicked-off their ninth season on April 17. They will be serving dinner Thursday through Sunday, beginning at 5 p.m. The menu features items including yellowfin tuna poke with avocado, tomatoes, macadamia nuts and ginger-soy; crispy kataifi-lobster bundle with citrus slaw, spiced sesame aioli and Thai chili; Montauk monkfish with sofrito rice, chorizo, mussels, tomato, fennel and saffron; and Jamaican jerk-pork tenderloin with exotic rice, pickled peaches, lemon and fennel.

The Southampton Inn in Southampton is hosting a weekend-long Easter celebration. All are welcome to enjoy a concert by the Children’s Orchestra Society beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday in the library. Wine and cheese will be served and the concert will feature Yeou-Cheng Ma, sister of Yo Yo Ma, and Michael Dadap. Easter Sunday will feature extended breakfast hours (9 a.m.–1 p.m.) and an Easter egg hunt. Hundreds of eggs will be strewn across the lawn for the kids. Breakfast will feature items such as the farm-raised egg platter—two eggs any style, served with bacon or sausage, home fries and toast; and a smoked salmon and capers frittata. 631-283-6500. southamptoninn.com. 75 Main Restaurant and Lounge in Southampton is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to midnight. Select items from the dinner menu include endive and arugula salad with roasted red beets, goat cheese and chives with white balsamic vinaigrette; crab cakes with avocado salsa and chipotle lime tartar sauce; roasted ahi tuna with fresh herbs, beets, arugula, pears and port-wine reduction; marinated skirt steak with crispy onion strings, broccoli and mashed potatoes; and chicken alla champagne, sautéed chicken breast in a shallot and mushroom champagne sauce with mashed potatoes. 631-283-7575. 75main.com. Love Lane Kitchen in Mattituck hosts “Super Sunday Savings” every week. In addition to the regular a la carte menu, a special three-course prix fixe for only $29 per person is available.
