-Soft and comfortable, Sport Mesh allows for a plush on foot feel. -Pimento Red for a color pop on the laces and liner.
using business to improve lives The Movement:
TOMS experienced astronomical growth in its early days do to one major factor: people follow you when they believe what you believe. Consumers can easily justify purchasing a pair of shoes when they know part of their money is going to a good cause.
No Good Deed Goes Unpunished:
Though TOMS was founded with nothing but good intentions, there has been an unfortunate side effect of the One for One business model. Flooding subsistance markets with free footwear has had an adverse impact on the entrepreneurs in these areas who try to make a living off of shoe sales.
One for One:
Using the One for One business model, with every sale of TOMS footwear a pair of shoes is donated to a person in need. Since its inception, TOMS has given in excess of 50 millions pairs of shoes to children in over 70 different countries.
What Can Be Done?
TOMS is commited to using its business to improve the lives of others. Rather than overhauling the system TOMS already has in place, I propose that TOMS create a new venture to improve the lives of a larger range of people.
My Proposal
SOLE by TOMS. A program which connects TOMS to entrepreneurs in subsistence markets. Creating a relationship which allows these entrepreneurs to create a thriving business in their area.
+TOMS produces comfortable and durable sandal soles. These are then distributed to TOMS Giving Partners around the globe.
+TOMS and their Giving Partners connect with entrepreneurs in rural areas, giving these soles as an initial investment into their small business.
+These entrepreneurs then use locally sourced materials to create unique footwear for their customers.
+By selling hand made footwear inspired by local materials and styles, entrepreneurs are able to create a thriving business in their village.
+TOMS and Giving Partners create a relationship with entrepreneurs, who can order further soles in sizes and colors that they know they will sell in their market.
+Entrepreneurs create a relationship with their community by making and repairing cost effective locally produced footwear.
Where to Start
Rural India. TOMS already has manufacturing facilities in India, allowing materials to be locally produced. India has a population of 834 million people, 69% of which live in nearly 600,000 rural villages. This is a massive potential market.

Rory McIlroy branding. Nylon tongue centering loop features the RM logo as well as Nike swoosh branding. The red color is consistent across all colorways.

.the 800m sprint is a very quick race, meaning that every fraction of a second counts. .focusing on forefoot running for a more effecient gait and minimizing any slippage or extra resistance will be a focus of this design.
